I don't know what this has to do with my comment. Sounds like you've taken it out of context.
I was referring to a coach's interest in other jobs. Coaches sometimes have their eyes on other opportunities and they can't let recruits know of their intentions or it will adversely affect probability of landing the recruit.

Maybe Raymond feels he's well suited for those responsibilities. He's certainly excelled at his current position.

per VolTiger, Robinson is out. Kevin Faulk is in as RB coach. LSU will need a new recruiting coordinator

I didn't see that. I'm definitely down for it though. I think that's an upgrade overall.
ETA: Gotta keep Raymond though. 700-750K for the recruiting coordinator bump. Do it.

Not a done deal but he says Robinson is actively looking for a HC gig, and that Faulk would replace him if that happens.

Damn. I wonder what will happen if Raymond demands the recruiting coordinator title to stay, and Robinson doesn't get a look and tries to come back.

It's definitely why. Each one of those titles comes with a salary bump, just like any other job.
I didn't realize he was assistant head coach.
