Depends on your definition of "slightly better". Our resume is worse than anyone in this thread wants to admit.

No, we did not host a regional last year. We traveled to Norman, and swept through the OU regional.
Super Regionals are bidded on, just like Regionals are.
Explaining to you, that money does not carry that much weight any longer.

Oh dude...come on...I'm not talking about LSU hosting a super regional. NO WAY THAT HAPPENS, unless the National seed loses that we are paired with, only chance, but still not likely.
So you're talking about Super regionals, and I'm talking about sub regionals. And your getting all fired up about nothing.

And I'm saying, they didn't advance to the SEC championship game...which the NCAA puts a lot of weight into. THIS IS THE KEY FOR LSU TO POTENTIALLY HOST

WE beat the National Seed paired with the FSU Regional, which makes the bidding open.
FSU was awarded the Super Regional, on resume alone, not because of money.
Do you understand my point? FSU was NOT a national seed a year ago.

ITS FSU NOT TCU ! Their not going to give a team below .500 in league play a SUPER regional site over FSU...Who was ranked number 5 in the country when they hosted the Hogs.

No its not...It's a moot point now...This game was big. This was the first step in the process of being able to possibly host a sub regional. Now there is zero chance. The Hawg's only point that I agree with is they won't give a team that has below a .500 record a regional. Just not happening.

Who cares , if we win the tourney we on a roll and theres not gonna be anyone to stop us here or anywhere else in the country!

We do not deserve to go to a regional let alone host after today. Like I said we had to win out. We will get killed against fla on wed. Screw our coaching staff for this. Smoke didn't even have a year like this. From #1 to 30 in 4 weeks.

You do realize that you have to actually make the NCAA tourn. to host a regional. LSU is on the vege of being left out of the tourney. LSU didn't make it during Smoke's last yr, and they actually won a game in Hoover. Oregon St. had a similar record to LSU a few yrs back as they were coming off back to back championships, and they didn't make it. I don't think LSU gets in unless they win at least 1-2 games.

there's talk of a possibiltiy of 10 teams making the NCAA tournament from the SEC...I'm willing to bet that the top 8 make it...I'm not worried about that.

LSU will NOT be left out of the NCAA Tourney, period- no matter what happens in Hoover LSU will be packing their bags for a road trip to a regional
