No dumbass I’m not a scout. I do know I’ve been at more parks and called more games that I can remember.

Just give up and say what you said versus Ole Miss and other games late this season. You even had the audacity to book mark a post by other posters that were positive when in disagreement.
I called you out on it and you’re exposed.

Hey dummy i've never shite on Kelly or JJ but good try but you wrong kid.

Congrats on being to lots of parks and calling games but that dont make you an expert.

Remember the ongoing excuses when LSU losses to some horrid team mid-week several times a year?

LSU lost one midweek game this year.

Means nothing right except you lost and shouldn't have based on talent alone. Apparently, Coastal doesn't lose this year to bad teams

LSU and Coastal Carolina had the exact same number of Q3 and Q4 losses this year during the regular season.

LSU:
vs. Omaha (L 4-5), #199 RPI (Saturday game)
vs. Northwestern State (L 3-13), #83 RPI (Tuesday game)

Coastal Carolina:
vs. Charleston (L 5-15), #99 RPI (Tuesday game)
vs. Arkansas State (L 0-2), #140 RPI (Sunday game)

As bad as that midweek Northwestern State loss was, 36 of their 55 regular season games (and 10 of their 12 weekend series) were against teams with a worse RPI. Including 4 total losses.

Coastal Carolina is a good team. Maybe good enough to win it all. They deserve a ton of credit for what they’ve done in the postseason. But it’s absolutely laughable to use our midweek loss to Northwestern State as a talking point considering Coastal’s regular season schedule.

Whether you like it or not they are a premier college baseball program. Not blue blood, but damn good considering the 100s of teams in D1 baseball

No that’s irrelevant to this topic. I’m speaking more as a true dyed in the wool college baseball fan, (yeah that was built from growing up in Baton Rouge in the 90s). This is isn’t about agreeing or not if Coastal is a major program. If you don’t think they are you simply don’t know what you are talking about. Theres nothing more to it than that

You are confusing blue bloods (of which there are probably 6) Elite programs of which there are maybe 15 and then major programs.

A major program doesn’t want for anything, has all the resources and support it needs to be successful, recruits successfully nationally, and is fully capable of competing with and beating any program at any time.

Agreed

Coastal is in Conway, SC, about 30 min from Myrtle Beach. Coastal has 10K students.

I really hate how people have started calling all 16 regional hosts "national seeds".

That’s what the NCAA calls them, so there’s that. They used to only seed 8 of the 16 hosts, then decided to start seeding all 16 to facilitate fairer Super Regional pairings. The terminology is correct. It’s meaning just changed.

Define that. Right now absolutely. Over the last 10 years 100%. South Carolina was a top 5 program from 2000-2013 though.

Yes. They’ve also gone to a number of CWS. The true test will be if they can keep it up with O’Conner in Starkville.

Why don't you slide on over to a ULL board? Oh I'm sorry I forgot. They don't have one.

Why what? My name?

Born and raised in Baton Rouge. Die Hard Tiger fan. Became a Ragin Cajun pitcher. Best experience I could have ever had. I owe everything I have in my life to Tony Robichaux and that’s not hyperbole but I’ve never lost my love for the Tigers
