If nothing else, at least demote him and get us an actual hitting coach

This is a dangerous move though at this time with the draft and signing period coming up.

None of the kids we had coming in were coming because of Grewe anyway!

Per Lynn Rollins Paul is looking at somone with MLB pitching coach experience to come replace Grewe!

I do know for a fact that Gausman loved Grewe. And if it wasn't for him, Mainieri doesn't even go after McCune.

Obviously it was a necessary move, but it just seems dangerous to axe your recruiting coordinator when you are going to need all the help you can get to bring some to campus.

We'll see.

No problem, neither can leave for the draft this year, even if that was true.

I'd say almost all of those kids signed with LSU because of Mainieri/tradition/facilities/fans at LSU. Grewe is far down that list.

I'm just using that as an example that not everyone on the team hated him.

All of our signees that have a chance of being drafted high or either going to get the money they want or be at LSU.

If PM goes out an gets a big name with MLB pitching experience I would think that may help us if anything, because you can sell to the kid hey you can come to LSU the best place to play in college and get developed by somone who has been at the big leauge level, not David Grewe.

This all speculation about who PM is eyeing for the job, but we will probably know soon enough who it is!

Bull Shite. Ask Les Miles if Frank Wilson doesn't make a difference with recruiting.

I think it is a wise move.. Having Grewe here hurt some pitchers signability with LSU.. Now, if PM will go ahead and hire a REAL pitching coach.. maybe one with pitching experience..
