I don’t care I call him that. I think it is funny and I am cracker arse white. But you let a white person reverse that referencing a black player and the fallout out would be insane.

Agreed 100%. I think those using this as an example of a double standard have a much different idea of what constitutes as a double standard than I do. I see some projection here . There are real double standards out there - I just think it's a HUGE stretch to put this up as an example of that.

I like it. I think it’s a catchy name that has NIL marketing possibilities.

The difference is that it doesn’t bother 95% of white people. The other word doesn’t truly offend black people, either, or they wouldn’t call each other that all day every day. It only offends them when a white person says it because they’ve been told that they should be for generations.
What about Hispanics? I hear black kids call Hispanic kids “Taco” all the time. Never seen it bother a Hispanic kid in the least. My point is that the double standard is a conditioned illusion.

Any other derogatory slang towards a particular race, when used in a negative context, pisses the race off just as much.
