You people make us look STOOOOOPID. If you all SERIOUSLY think that the best league in the nation is "on the take" and will put refs on a field to intentionally "throw" a game that the WHOLE WORLD will be watching, then you are too dumb to help. Get all of this conspiracy crap out of your heads and just look forward to a great game. NOBODY is going to cheat LSU. I promise.

If YOU think that cheating doesnt go on in this conference at every level then you are incredibly naive. Alabama and Auburn have taken cheating in sports to whole new levels. There are "judgement" calls made in games that can truly change the game and are difficult to question. Do you remember the 2006 Auburn game at Auburn where LSU submitted 12, yes 12 penalties to the SEC office where they disagreed with the calls? SEC office confirmed them all. Go figure!
Have you not watched the SEC refs this year? As the best leaugue in college football, we surely do not have the best refs. And by the way, the head of SEC refs is an Alabama alum.

You almost have to spot Alabama 7 to 10 points because of the refs killing a crucial LSU drive or giving Bama an easy boost on one of theirs.

I seem to recall the national media losing their shite about the "non-interception" as well, not a huge fan of making excuses, but to declare the noncall as inconsequential is straight up horseshite especially given how much a role momentum has played with these two teams...

Right - we have people on the take for trillions of dollars in our government, wall street and big corporate american but nothing in sports, in particular, the SEC because we are the "best league".
Mafia crime went away from hits into high end white collar crime. Do not be so naive to believe for a second that sport game outcomes are immune.

What is funny is only Bama fans think there is no bias. Every sec team has a story about getting screwed by the refs in Alabama. The Head of SEC officiating is a gump for gods sake. What pisses me off is that no ref is ever held accountable. Ever. They can make the all the ahitty calls in the world and then in a week, noone is talking abou it. There is a reason Bama fans love the officiating.

While I don't believe the conference puts refs on the field who are "on the take" I also believe it's irrefutable that the mouth breathers get an inordinate number of controversial calls their way. This has gone on for years. And while this belief may make me STOOOOOOPID, I'll happily place a considerable sum on the results of an IQ test with you.

idaf . lsu fans have a legit reason to be concerned about officiating in bama.
we have blatantly gotten screwed in that state before.. just the last time we went there..
so who gives a frick what it looks like. it is what it is until it isn't any longer..

Yeah, I'm stooooooopid for trusting these crooks. Sorry bro, but it;s no accident that the two teams in Alabama have been on probation more than any other team in the conference.
Auburn game in 2006 probably cost LSU a legit shot at another BCS title. All LSU needs is a fair shake of it this year and they will beat Bama.

Good times with Rant Detectives
Right after the game, Saban's opinion of the interception mirrored most Bama fans' feelings.
"He also noted that LSU would still have had to drive nearly 70 yards with both quarterback Jordan Jefferson and tailback Charles Scott out with injuries, against one of the nation's top defenses.
"If it was an interception, that doesn't mean they win the game," Saban said. "It was hard for me to tell on our film. I don't watch the TV stuff. I can't tell you or give you an opinion one way or the other.""
No matter which one of the multitude of questionable calls fans bring up, Bama fans always respond with the single PI No Call incident. One bad call is understandable and everyone can live with that, multiple bad calls show a pattern. That being said, I think the game is on too big of a stage for the officials to try to pull some blatant shenanigans.

Refs, ESPN, certain announcers, objective posters. Everyone hates LSU according to a few people.

FIFA, which makes the SEC look like CSAL in Baton Rouge, is notoriously corrupt. It's not out of the realm of possibility at all.

The SEC, for many years, has been one of the lowest paying conferences when it comes to officiating. They've lost several "good" refs to other conferences over the years because of this. At one point in time, the Big 12 paid 2-3 times as much per game, travel, etc...
This is not even close to correct. The SEC is the highest paying conference (as of the 2010 season). Last year rates were from $975-$2725 per game, depending on the number of years the official has been on a conference crew, whether or not he's the referee (white hat), and his grades from the previous couple of years (grades play a big part in post season assignments as well). This does not include travel or per-diem...officials have the option to get round-trip coach fare to the nearest airport, or they can elect to drive and be reimbursed $0.50/mile (2010 rate). Hotel rooms are also provided by the home school, and transportation (rental vans are the norm). Per Diem is $100 per day (max of 2 days for regular season games).
FYI- the replay official makes about $850-$1000 plus the above listed extras (per diem, travel, etc.).
SEC is also the highest paying conference in baseball as well (the sport I call). They pay about $250 more per weekend series than my conference pays (in football my conference is a BCS conference).
Don't even get me started on basketball...those guys make the most of anybody. Some major conference basketball referees would have to take a pay cut to go to the NBA! I personally know one guy that did turn down a NBA offer to keep calling college games (ACC official).
