The problem with Shea as I've been told is his brother saw the level of incompetence and Shea will not come here

I think the Brock Berlin comparison is very valid though. He played for a high school powerhouse that showcased his abilities and overwhelmed opponents.
Doesn’t ever play under center. His team just out-talents everyone at every position. He throws a lot of short quick passes.
He’s got average arm strength, average size, no experience under center, and no experience with being outmatched by an opponent.
I think he’ll be a decent college QB like Brock Berlin.

Although we know that is highly possible. I highly doubt that was what the real reason was. He will go to Ole Miss put up numbers like "Head Case" Kelly, never win a SECC and that will be it!

This is what I meant, didn't have time to type it out at work

That's what he was bringing in. Seriously.
Which is why the father is trying to pimp the two sons for everything they are worth

The guys at the plant have insider recruiting info now?

I think Shea Patterson is going be decent in Ole Miss' offense but will be just that - decent.
He would not be great in our offense or many others. I think he is incredibly overrated.
Patterson is tailor made for that Ole Miss offense. He is going to pick up right where Kelly leaves off (Kelly 65% 3740 yards 8.8 ypa 27 TDs 12 ints, 427 rush yards 4.4 ypc 10 TDs first year starting D1).

want a white qb
Doesn't have to be white, but would be nice to have one who could make good split second decisions.

Because, sometimes the product and results on the field impact recruiting. Why would any QB worth their salt play for Les Miles?
This. I mean I REALLY want us to get top notch QBs yearly, but in Miles's 11 years he has yet to recruit a QB from high school and develop him through our system, and have him be successful.

Flynn threw 21 tds and 11 interceptions with a 56% completion percentage. Nobody was calling to replace Flynn like it is with Harris. I mean at least Flynn had a awesome backup in Perriloux.

So, like no chance could Les Miles land a very highly recruited Quarterback that was offered by virtually every football program? Interesting.
Never happen

Matt Flynn wasn't that good.
He was a lot better than what LSU currently has now.

If LSU really wanted to keep him and give him a made up job like Ole Miss did ( Sean Patterson, Associate Director of Recruiting Operations), we could have.
For whatever reason, Miles chose not to do so.

Because you don't compromise the integrity of your program to make some overbearing father happy, plain and simple.

On what planet is a 10 year NFL veteral not good at football?
Posted on 12/4/15 at 11:47 am to tenderfoot tigah
I assume you mean Matt Flynn? I never said anything about him.

Big bro wanted $$$ for Shea to come. We said no so he left for Ole Miss.
