I’ve always wondered why we can’t have one when Arizona State has one?

I’m not a hockey fan but I would definitely attend games if LSU had a squad. Be pretty cool

Yes for women. Oh and they have to wear bikinis.

It’s back in Monroe with the Moccasins- leading the league in attendance, had like 5,000 last weekend

5,277 and I'm happy to have been one of them. Even before I knew jack shite about hockey I was having a blast watching it. I think a lot of LSU football fans would enjoy it more than they think. Though I don't think it'll ever really happen, it's definitely fun to think about what it could be like.

Yes, but only is they don't have a portal

It’s been explained by multiple hockey fans already - y’all just wanna win an argument instead of learning about hockey.
there’s not enough skilled high school kids in the South to build successful D-1 hockey programs.
There’s no ice in Baton Rouge - same for most/all other SEC schools. And it would take MULTIPLE hockey rinks.
All these NHL teams ( Dallas, Florida, Nashville, Charlotte. NC) have players from Canada, Russia, extreme northern US. Your whole team would be from another country.
Just because it’d be cool to watch doesn’t necessarily mean you or anyone you know can PLAY.
There’s no hockey culture here.

Yes. Much better and more American than fruity soccer.

The Ice Devils are damn good I might add.

Youth hockey leagues are springing up big time in Texas .Not sure about the rest of the South .
Wasn’t that long ago they were saying soccer would never make it down here .

The Shreveport mudbugs, Monroe moccasins and their rabid fan bases would like a word with you

I know a lot of LSU fans might be unsure about it due to being unfamiliar with the game, but I’ve yet to meet anyone who went to a hockey game and didn’t have a fantastic time.
Hockey is very aggressive and "In your Face."
It would be perfect for the SEC. (Just dump a few Women's Sports to fund the program)

Hello. Nice to meet you.
I went to a hockey game and was bored to tears. Although I admire what is their tremendous athleticism, it’s essentially soccer on ice.
And nobody’s got time for that.

Maybe if they started a fight club a hockey team would break out?…

The cost to build, operate, maintain, and participate is enormous. The electric and insurance is mind blowing, and that is just for starters.

Hell no, who wants to watch soccer on ice skates? A far better option would be a Wrestling team.
