This defense is historically bad. It's not going to flip a switch and suddenly become good in 2023 mid-season. We just need it to make a few minor technique adjustments, more hustle, maybe create a few more turnovers, and give up 7-10 less points than they have been. It is what it is this season. We will need to score 30+ in the rest of our SEC games to win.

It’s a combination of players that aren’t tier one SEC caliber like we have been accustomed to in the past. With the exception of Harris none of those guys possess elite talent in the back 7. Weeks and Perk look fast but Penn is not. The second killer is Houses complex zone schemes. Which people will argue we need because we can’t cover man to man. It’s obvious these guys are thinking way too much in zone which takes away aggression and leads to busted coverages for big gains.

Just because someone is a 5 or 4 star doesn't mean they are a dog! In fact many 4 or 5 stars have always had better natural talent and don't need to fight. Many of the 3 stars know that desire and effort have to make up for lack of natural talent and they are dogs. (i.e. Jacob Hester and the Honey Badger)

bingeaux....players know when the scheme they are put in can't get the job done, and that they more often than not are going to look really bad doing what they are told....so they play slow and lazy. Scheme ..which is 100% on the coaches is the root problem imo

Zy is a major disappointment, and his play throughout the game was littered with half-hearted attempts to make plays. He shouldn't be starting

BK said that they can tell them what to do, but can't do it for them.

Players are are to blame too.
