Spencer Ware will probably be the 3rd back in the rotation behind Ridley and Ford.

I think Gore gets the nod over Ware. Not because of talent or anything, but Ware is the same type of back as Ridley and Ford. Gore fills the Trindon Holliday scat back role now that RS is a WR.

IMO IMHO

People forget that RS will still see the field as a RB as well. Just because he is a WR now does not mean we won't still see him in the backfield for some plays. The kid is too dangerous not to put the ball in his hands in multiple ways. I look for Ridley and Ford to split the carries with RS and RM getting touches here and there. I honestly don't see Ware or Gore playing this year if any at all. We already have four backs we can use why do we need six unless injuries?

I heard a rumor that CLM is planning on giving RS as many as 2-3 touches per game.

I thought Ware was a lock to play this year, and would probably be starting by week 5 or so, until I saw video of the spring game. Mike Ford looked really good and, with a year already in the system, he's well ahead of Ware in the things a starter needs to do (knowledge of play and blocking assignments).

I still think Ware is a special talent, and may well be the best back at LSU in a long time, but if Ford plays well this fall, then with Ridley, Murphy, and Shep in the mix it's quite possible Ware redshirts, unless someone gets hurt.

I still think this kid is the star of his recruiting class and it's just a matter of time until he's a starting RB at LSU.

I could see it if not more, The kid is a huge weapon. The few times he did touch the ball last year he turned losses into gains.

As far as Ware goes the kid is a huge talent and will be a good one at LSU no doubt. But there are too many ahead of him I think. You have Ridley for sure and Ford has a whole year in the system ahead of him. Not to mention Ford was a good pickup as well. I just don't see Ware coming in as a true freshman and taking the starting role. If he plays it will be very limited. He has to learn the playbook first before anything else. I just don't see him beating out Ridley or Ford. Ford is a hell of a talent and will be good. You also have to account for the touches RS will get as well.

I think Fall practice will be really interesting at the RB position. No one is guaranteed anything. None of these guys are household names outside of LSU and ardent followers of the SEC.

There are a lot of questions to be answered.

Is Richard Murphy physically and mentally 100%? Is Spencer Ware SEC ready? Is Ford the real deal? Can Ridley elevate from being a good RB to a very good or great one?

All to be answered in Fall camp.

Let Shepard take Murphys touches.. and let Ware and Ridley split the big back touches. Ford as the feature back.

It's going to be awesome to have 2 very talented 'big backs'.

i mean i give u Ridley and RS, but what do the others have to show but high school highlights. I mean go to youtube and look up Richard murphy and then tell me he has nothing to show 4 it. I just think he hasnt had the opportunity. I believe MURPHY, RIDLEY will get the bulk of the carries until one seperates himself from the other and RS will get his carries
