You have to be an absolute moron to think he’d be a mediocre PG in the SEC.’He is a solid PG who can also get his own shot. And Wade wasn’t always the best judge of talent ala Adam Miller.

Wade was a great evaluator of talent actually. Adam Miller just never got back to his HS/Illinois form after his knee injury. Y’all just make shite up

Not that miller was the greatest here, but he didn’t have eligibility until recently at Arizona St I believe. He’s playing 27.5 min per game the 2 games back. He started both I believe. He also had a 20 pt game in his debut.

This. I have no idea why a narrative exists out there that Wade told Cook to kick rocks, that was never the case. As freshmen Gaines played over Cook because we needed defense which Gaines provided and Cook did not. The last thing we needed on that team was more offense less defense. It was just a bad fit at the time for Cook.

I agree with you. Cook was our best guard defender as a freshmen but Wade wouldn't play him. Gaines was not a skilled defender. Wade's defense often lacked fundamentals.

This is exactly the case. I didn't understand Wade's decisions about playing time for these two players in particular. Wade had some loose screws with the x's and o's on defense.
