I respect the optimism and especially respect that you attempt to be rational in your optimism. I too believe our defense will give us a strong chance to win. But you kind of ignore the whole Auburn D v. LSU Offense aspect. How do you reckon we put 24 points on the board Saturday? No way we score 3 TDs on offense.

Let's be true fans
quote:unpaid? Well, kind of. You do realize they're on full scholarship, get a small stipend, get to live/practice/play in multi-million dollar facilities, and get massive TV/media exposure under an elite university brand. They may not be paid in cash, but they're quite nicely compensated.
and support this team of unpaid young adults

You might not like Coach O, but he wants to be here

Of course Steele has had good success VS LSU
13 in 2016
Only 19 point in 2017, and 3 of those girls goals were the Auburn offense giving us the ball on their side of the field.

I swear...I have yet to start a thread having anything to do with Orgeron...but I'll be damned if I'm going to be expected to sit here and read incessant posts like this that assume criticism, and valid criticism at that, of our PAID athletic department equals not supporting the young guys that chose to be Tigers and NOT respond negatively to them.
This kind of thing is one step removed from Open letters to Facebook that end with "Think of the children" in an attempt to stifle any criticism.

Stop saying that.
This site is 0-0 lifetime in college football.
Not really sure where you come up with your thought process, but LSU has had some serious recruits and players since this site was established. And people have been critical on here since day one.

not just recruits. Current players read this place too. What good does it td to start a thread about how awful the offense is? what good comes from threads like that? all it does is allow players to see it and get in there heads and make them unhappy about everything. Just be frickin positive. What kind of grown man just runs to the internet to express his angry feelings when his team isnt #1 out of 128? just fricking have a beer and move on with your life. no need to go all doom and gloom every week. posting non stop negative comments about the team just sounds miserable. I honestly dont see how people would enjoy doing that. I would think that just not posting at all would be more enjoyable than just being negative all the time.
Next time you have an angry thought about LSU, how about you just send an email to Alleva or someone on the BOD. would have way more of an impact than you just venting on a blog, and would minimize the "sky is falling" shite threads from this website

Fans that blog negativity all day are the only ones who care about stats over wins
Anyone who truly understands college football knows that stats (taken in proper context) can provide a much more accurate indication of HOW a team is playing, regardless of the score. And HOW a team is playing can be a good indicator of how they'll do through the rest of the season.
Sometimes, merely looking at the final score or the W-L record is misleading.
A good example is our 2015 team. We started the season 7-0 (would've been 8-0 but McNeese was cancelled). We rose to no. 2 in the national polls, but we were a bit of a fraud. We struggled through the air and relied on Fournette and our rushing attack to beat weaker teams.
But when the meat of our schedule came in November, we lost 3 straight, each by double digits, to Bama, Ole Miss, and Arky because we were one-dimensional, and our opponents knew it.
I suspected this was coming, but everyone was just thrilled with "7-0." But 7-0 didn't tell the whole story.

Wow that's a lot of words to say absolutely nothing of any value.

I had broken it up line by line to refute it, then got bored and gave up.

If it bothers you that much, I would think not reading might be more enjoyable for you.
This is an LSU message board. We discuss good and bad because we care about the program. Wanting everyone to keep their mouths shut about any problems suggests you're not interested in a rational discussion anyway.

I enjoy this message board for updates on the team and discussion about upcoming games. But for fricks sake it gets really annoying when you have to sift through 197 threads a day begging to fire aleva just to find any threads that are worth a damn
Posted on 9/11/18 at 4:00 pm to Spider John
if ya want the guy fired, posting about it ad nauseam on here isnt going to get anything done. turn your threads into emails and send them the BOD or the AD himself. That probably wont do anything either, but it has a better shot than just posting the same thing over and over again on here. And at the same time would cut down on the BS repetitive threads on here

Some people have claimed to have done that already. Most of us realistically know he's not going anywhere at the moment, so it's kind of a pointless endeavor, until at least later in the season.

There wouldn't be so many repetitive threads if there weren't several posters who continue to blame this board and the fans for everything that goes wrong with the program. You would be foolish to not expect push back.
If folks like you could ever present a reasonable argument based on something other than sky-screaming emotion and feelings, there could be some fun debate on here.

Kinda crazy to think that Miles would most likely still be HC today if they win that 2016 game. I'm not implying that I would want that either, just pointing out how 1 second causes such a turn of events.
Posted on 9/11/18 at 4:20 pm to Brazos
If I'd have known that Miles would ultimately be replaced by O, I'd have never given a single thought to wanting him fired.

Really, it is horribly shitty to make the players suffer because you disapprove of the AD and/or the coaches. They read this site. They had no control over the coaches/AD. They do, however, go out every day and sweat their balls off trying to make a competitive team. How do you think THEY feel reading this shite day after day?
You frickers might want to think of someone else beside yourselves and your own expectations. Y'all suck! It's disgusting.

CEO 6-2 in SEC his first year, good recruiting class, pulled in the QB transfer we've been wanting for years, starts year 2 with a BLOWOUT win over a ranked team, shut out victory against FCS team... Let's at least watch the Auburn game before starting the hate. Give him a chance.
