They can drink some beer but are not ready for the liquor drinkers. Lived in that area a few years and they were absolutely stunned at the bourbon intake that a Louisiana person can handle.

They probably will
Lsu has some light weights
Actually it's kinda sad when you walk around on campus and you see grown arse adults passed out on the ground at 2 pm. Also embarrassing seeing people in their 40's doing keg stands

Is this something to really brag about? Just fortifies the "Louisiana is trashy" label

Those Syracuse people are so cute.

"we do like to drink, responsibly of course" - LOL they have no idea what coming. Responsible drinking for me growing up in NO was not spilling a sip while driving or being able to walk the Quarter and drink without breaking my stride.

I think the "drink their town dry" comment is a bit overblown.
But there's a reason there are news stories about bars and restaurants opening earlier to accommodate LSU fans. It's because it rarely (if ever) happens for a football game.
I know that they have a solid (and growing) craft beer boom. And there's something to be said for quality.
But when it comes to quantity, I don't think they know what they're getting into.

I like the Canadian side of Niagra though.
Ya it's so different from the American side.

The "drink them dry" statement is not so far fetched as you may think. We did that in Tempe in 2005 at the bar the LSU fans took over. They literally ran out of beer and had to have a truck deliver more.

Didn't the hayseed mayor call out the National Guard or something in Blacksburg?

I still have PTSD from Morgantown. What a dump.

The odds of them winning the game is much higher than winning the booze battle.

I relocated to Montana--people in cold weather climates generally know how to pass the long winter--shacked up in a bar. Especially the women. Case in point, my wife. (No pics, you perverts)
Is she hot? Or Montana bar in the dead of winter hot? Better post that pic.
I do like that Syracuse fans are willing to join in a wild time. They can't be so bad.

We heard this in Seattle, Dallas and Morgantown and once it was over, they didn't know what hit them.
You forgot about Blacksburg.

Watched the second half of the Syracuse/directional Michigan game last night. 2/3 or more of the stands were empty. How can you "outdrink" anyone if you don't show up? Sad
