I think he's a second round guy but will play like a first round guy
Maybe but He is a freak athlete and I think he will test very well in the combine. I think he will be a first by the time it is all said and done. Wouldn’t surprise me if he went top 20

I am seeing a lot of people hating on Terrace Marshall. Not necessarily on here but on other social media outlets. These are my thoughts...
They are not playing for a championship. He really has nothing to gain by playing but everything to lose. He has already proven that he is a first round caliber player and the only thing that would really change that is playing some meaningless games and getting hurt. I know we hate to lose to Bama but we are going to get smashed regardless and it really is meaningless. If anything he is stepping aside and letting some younger guys get reps. I am sure if we were in contention for a championship then he would have kept playing.
People get really mad at college players for leaving but it is in their best interest some times. Lsu isn’t going to give him a few million dollars to stay and play a few games and if he gets hurt it could cost him that. I mean really think about it if you were in his situation. He isn’t quitting on the team he is doing what is best for him and you got to respect that. If you had a job offer to make more money then you take it. Same concept in football except you are probably talking a lot more money and less of a time frame to be able to achieve that.
He doesn’t get paid to play college football. Yeah he gets his school tuition paid for but if you add up his practice, film, workout, and game time then he is severely under paid.
I don’t find it out of line for people to dislike a player from quitting in the middle of the year.
By your logic any first round player would be justified in quitting no matter the situation.
He has the right to do it. But it’s retarded to expect the fans to like it. Marshall handled this situation a lot more poorly than Chase did.

No hate from me. He made his decision. However, we need to call it what it is. He didn’t “opt out” he quit. Plane and simple. Arguably the guys who made a pre-season decision actually opted out. But he started and played a partial season and happen to bail right before the 2 hardest teams. Speculation tells me he’s worried about getting hurt or playing like shite and hurting his draft stock. Regardless, he quit.

The money thing is such a stupid statement.
Do you really think that this first round draft pick did not have one of those multimillion-dollar insurance policies if he got hurt. You're crazy

So you would rather have someone who is playing half-assed than have someone like Marshall who opts out at the end of the year because everyone else is playing like shite?
At least the latter gives you a chance to win some games.

Why did Leatherwood, Najee Harris, or Devonta Smith not opt out this year, or better yet, they are all first round talent and came back for their senior year. Why they can do it and we have our primidona's not come back, opt out (quit), or transfer, business decision before season, business decision in the middle of the season, business decision at end of season, etc... We have a bunch of pussies when you compare them to those boys I just mentioned.
Sad to say it but its the truth. They are playing, and even Waddle who paid the price with an injury, but he played and did not wus out. Mad props to them and no wonder they are in the national title discussion every year

Why are you asking if anyone quit a job? In your OP, you said he didn't quit.

Well I’m sure Ed Orgeron did thank him and so did his teammates and other coaches and LSU administrators. We’re not his boss or coworkers, you seem to be confused about the fan/athlete relationship buddy.
Do you personally thank everyone who’s been a part of Community Coffee’s success, or whatever successful local business you patronize?

He fricking quit on his teammates!!! I hope the NFL notes this!!

They lost last year and had a capable experienced qb coming back and are firmly in position to win a championship. All four improved their draft stock by coming back this year. I’ll admit I didn’t expect Harris to come back.
Lsu won a championship last year and lost both coordinators and Burrow. Players got out while their stock was high. We are not the only team having players quit and opt out. Lsu is not in position to win a championship. Nothing to really play for.

They quit LSU yes. For money. Some understand it. Some don’t. It is what it is. I just know, My family > LSU. Maybe he feels the same way.
How you figure he quit LSU for money? That only makes sense if he would have been able to sign with an NFL team like this week. The draft is in April and his roomie NFL season starts next September. How would he be giving any of that up by playing games?

Just like every other third year player who did not opt out which is 99.9% of them...
You cannot build a program on players quitting early.

You, me, and nobody else knows that for sure. I will tell you this though. He has Bama, UF, and Ole Miss in front of him. He also has the chance to make millions more by showing out in those three games.
Why dont they all just go to a tryout camp instead of playing dangerous games...

I don't think it's hate. It's just calling it what it is. Dude is quitting on his team with 2 weeks left because we have nothing to play for. It's one thing to quit before the season started, but he's letting his entire team down.

So you would have actually preferred him not play at all and had opt out before the season? I think it is different if they were in contention for a championship but at this point just let underclassman get the reps
