For those struggling to know how they feel just ask yourself if you are a fan or not
If you are a fan, it’s real simple- he quit.
If you are not, it’s also simple- it’s understandable since he could get hurt.

If he's gonna quit the team, his scholarship should be pulled. Pay his own way to finish out the semester or get kicked-out of school as well.
(I realize these need to be handled on a case-by-case basis but this should be the general approach.)

I think it’s fair to say if he has left the team he will no longer be attending classes.

I think a public statement needs to be made on what’s really going on. I highly doubt that all these players have a heart the size of an almond. When you see a mass exodus of players like this, it’s because they do not ethically believe in, trust, or value the people who are coaching them anymore.
