I don't think he has good enough command on his fastball to be a starter... He has that really good 12-6 curve, but as we saw last season and even yesterday when he walked that guy, he can't throw that curve unless he is spotting his fastball.

At this point Slaughter has lost his confidence. He is just up there hacking everything. Not taking a lot of good swings.

Please check Jake’s eyesight.

Reynolds, Shaw, McCann due up in the top of the 4th
Texas leads 4-0

Right now you basically have Slaughter, Webre, and the Jordans competing for 1B, LF, and DH. You'll need them all at some point so no reason to bench them this early. This is assuming we move Smith back to 3B of course

Paps has been the most overrated player since the 3rd baseman that threw 100 mph, what was his name again?
ETA. And I’m glad he finally hit the ball last year.
ETA. Feds throws darts.

Exactly what happens when you let a pitcher off the hook. Should be a 6 run game.

Slaughter needs to sit. He is too much of a liability at the plate. Put Reid in!

I haven't been able to watch any yet. Just been listening on the radio and following these threads but it seems like he's taken a step forward this year.

His new nickname should be 0 fifty.

You're a moron.
There's a reason we had so few wild pitches and passed balls the last 3 years.

Jake needs to watch from the dugout for a bit. Reid is a scrapper with less up side, but jake is stone cold.

Not really LF. No one is keeping Watson on the bench when hes healthy

In the sense that he's not totally worthless like he was last year, he still struggles with command.

Strikes are great, but you have to keep them low and move in and out. His strikes have been up too high in the zone today.
