Although I said it as well, it isn't just Jindal. Many of the recently elected legislators are of the same mindset. LSU is here to create a brighter future for our state. Now that our job mar jet is growing, will higher ed benefit?

Jindal is no friend of LSU.

LSU is in a mess, believe me, they can't get any of the administration to stay because of the political climate.

LSU has trimmed facility services down so much that it can barely keep up with lawn maintenance.

Which is why I didn't applaud F. King Alexander during his introduction at whatever game it was earlier this season. He was handpicked by Jindal to preside over the dismemberment of LSU and not make a stink about it.

I'm not defending Jindal, but you people realize the constitution prevents cuts to anything but healthcare and higher Ed? This track to failure was laid years ago by Louisiana's citizens.

Skipping classes didn't improve academics either?

Louisiana needs to make the flagship university a priority. LSU is slipping academically and it never was that good to begin with. The truth hurts.
Too high a % of Louisiana residents are ignorant educated hayseeds that are a product of the Louisiana Educational System. They have their heads buried in the sand, just like the LSU Sunshine Boys on the Rant that can't bare to read anything negative. They can't handle the truth, even if it's layed out there right in front of them.

No, You let their advertisers know it. That is where their money comes from... we need the NCAAP to help on this boycott!

And he's done nothing to try to change it. I'm not singling him out, no other governor did, either. But being constitutionally mandated to cut higher ed fits neatly with his ideological agenda and aspiration for power.

Debt means nothing. Let future generations deal with it.

This is by far the most thoughtful analysis I've read on this issue. LSU is lucky to have this guy's brain power on its side.

I seriously didn't think any governor could be worse than Kathleen Blank-O when it came to crapping on LSU, but Jindal proved me wrong. At least people caught on to her pro-ULL agenda before she had a chance to do too much damage.
