Well that's just not true. If we'd hired someone with a past track record of success who was a little slow to get started, of course he would get some benefit of the doubt. O, with his resume, needs to win and win now. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

I wouldn't have made the move when it happened unless I already had my replacement lined up. It shocked the world; remember Saban making that comment about "you just don't do things like that".
I STILL think the best plan was probably already in place- don't extend Miles' last contract, promote Aranda when it runs out, allow Miles to "retire" to the AD office. I think Alleva played things so he wasn't the one squeezed out.
If that would have occured, we'd have a stable program that was building momentum now.

Then hired the TE coach as our OC even though he had not filled that role full time in two decades.

I've been on several LSU message boards over the years. There will always be a segment of fans who think it is their duty to blindly support the HC and that being openly critical means you're not a fan and you might do something to hurt the program.
And there will always be a segment of fans who are openly critical when they see something that isn't right and can be improved upon.
Both segments of fans are still fans. Just accept it and move on.
