Goodwin is good coach. Better recruiter, I would love to see him recruit with the LSU brand behind him.

Goodwin is a logical choice, but I still think Skip may push for Bianco.
The trouble is, there is no Skip out there to come in and coach! There is no true 'sure thing' choice. But I thing age is a big factor- just like with Paul, I think he was getting lazy, had become too complacent. We need someone that is younger, still hungry, wants to make a name for himself and will recruit hard and is not afraid to bring in more experienced hitting/pitching coaches to improve the players and show them how to win championships!

He’d be a good choice as well. We’re not splitting the atom here, it’s baseball and there’s nothing wrong with Bianco.

Godwin leads
But, Bianco is right there. If they make a deep run in Omaha, it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets it.

I love Skip but at the time Mainirie was "His" guy before he has no business making this choice now as Skip is Not the AD. This is Scott's choice. At this point, I hope it's Godwin or make McDonald tell you no!

Godwin is a great coach and developer.

I don't see how anyone could be mad if he is the hire.

I agree you can’t hold Ole Miss against him, but it’s all you have to look at. 1 CWS appearance, 1 SEC regular season title & a couple SEC tournament titles is not a great resume over 20 years. At least with O you had the interim stints at SC & LSU to see improvement.

Like I said Woodie has a very tough job with this hire.

Skip should have no say so in the final selection. He's ok to use as a sounding board but too out of step with today's players....and fans. AC's own players turned him in, enough said. His success as a recruiter had more to do with the letters across his jersey, LSU, not any great personal abilities.

Bianco is a good choice and would hurt Ole Miss. I think he would do well at LSU. I think it’s easier to win at LSU as well. Just about any coach out there that you hire is not gonna have a Natty or a ton of CWS appearances. I wouldn’t mind Godwin either as he’s had success at ECU.

Why would Schloss go to A&M? He’s in a better job now.

Really? What if TCU didn't live up to promises they made him?

I'm about to be bombarded with down votes but a realistic hire is Bianco. Like it or not, it's realistic. It's it preferred or ideal, no.
