If he’d have put up those numbers here, even that “great” freshman year, fans would be ripping this guy to shreds but he’s new so he’s the next in a long line of would be saviors.

Always amazing that before Spring Camp has started that people are getting into one QB's corner or another when the spot is open.
I don't care who the QB is. I trust the coaches that spend hours each day on the practice field and in the locker room to make a good decision.

Yea I’ll admit that was a little hyperbolic but it was in response to someone saying he was the second best QB we ever had and would’ve been taken top 3 in the draft if he would’ve come out. He has accounted for 45 TDs but in 29 games that’s not great, it’s average at best.

I know but purple tiger king kept saying he ran 4.6 at a camp as a junior in HS, (never confirmed btw) so by now he was 4.5 or 4.4 easily. That’s the kind of shite people were saying last spring and summer. He also said Max’s arm was stronger than Brennan’s so you get the gist of it.

I’m not going to pretend as if I know all the inns and outs of this guys game because I don’t. I I do know that our quarterback talent is not so rich that we should be saying no about a guy who might well help us this year. It seems pretty obvious with the way things have played out that coach must feel the same way for some reason.
