The blocking is much better on that play than the gif shows. It's clearly a zone read where the offensive line is zone blocking to the left. Hines guy tries to shoot the gap so Hines just walls him off since the play is going to the backside. Nuss is reading the defensive end, so that isn't Decalus's man. Decalus should have been blocking 45 but you can't blame the defensive end being unblocked on him.
Of course, what's the point of the zone read, when you just hand it off every time?

We can’t ever seem to get a play where the whole line is doing their job correctly. It’s incredible really.

I can't believe in both the plays the OL was completely pushed into the backfield and he have having to fight off tacklers right after the handoff. The SEC schedule is going to be painful this year like it was last year.

His HS film is full of this kind of stuff..but there’s always the question of the competition level. I think he’s proving that the competition level doesn’t matter that much.
