He limps off the field almost every other possession and then goes back out like nothing is wrong. If he is hurt, he’s only hurting his team by going right back out there. If he isn’t hurt, by showing fake toughness only makes the rest of your team have less faith in you.
I used to have a football coach ask, “Are you injured or are you hurt? Because if you’re hurt so is everyone else on the field.”

I’m in the Nuss haterade camp, but he’s gotten his tail kicked in pretty much every game with our garbage OL.
So being hurt is one thing but it’s another thing to lie about it. And have your coach lie about it.
Well now former coach

can anyone name another QB that we have had that has taken the beating that he has this season and hasn't missed a snap?
To the detriment of the team

Nuss's injury is his lack of mental capacity to read through progressions and identify what defensive scheme he is playing against. And, he's overly dramatic with every nick and hops around after a hit, only to turn into the energizer bunny the very next play!

He suffers from no protection and is beaten black and blue every snap before limping back to the sidelines and into the tent.
Nuss doesn't get hit any more than the average QB.

Funny how most former QBs who talk about him say how much they admire his toughness playing behind one of the worst offensive lines in the country. All of the bench warmers and never-playeds around here are fricking hilarious.

I think we hyped up a QB that was both mentally and physically weak
He gets knocked to the ground almost every pass play. That's not hyperbole. He legit hits the ground at least 25 times per game. No QB should have that issue. He's physically tough, he just has a limit. Like we all do.

In addition to not being a very good QB that kid has no sack. Zero.

Let’s call a spade a spade. They called it a torso injury to start with and not a rib or oblique injury which is super broad. I think we hyped up a QB that was both mentally and physically weak. If I have to watch him get “touched up” and lay on the ground like he’s dying one more time…
Had he missed any playing time? Nuss is a good qb...hes been handcuffed by a horrible OC and a horrendous OL who can't block their way out of a wet paper sack. Hes been injured on top of that. Anyone who knows football and watch nuds last yr can see the difference

This is 100% on the coaches and not Nuss. Hes a competitor. Short of not being able to walk, he’s not going to take himself out of the game. If he came out and MVB sucks we’d all be calling Nuss soft for not playing. Catch 22 for him. CFW needs to make the call. This should’ve been the last game though. Not Bama on the road for MVB’s debut. Just another frick up in the series of frick ups that have been this disaster of a season

What injured player much less QB gets absolutely zero attention from the training staff, no tent time, etc. ?particularly when he limps off the field when he gets knocked down on 3rd down.
If he has this injury hindering his performance why is no one on the sidelines acting like it?

Because there is nothing wrong with him.
He just isn't very good.
