Schmidt
Evans
Williams
Rizy

Thinks that’s all four freshman pitchers. They all pitched.

So does Guidry get the start Tuesday afternoon vs Southern.

Could be Guidry. Also didn’t throw Zach Cowan, who was a starter at Wofford last year that threw 100+ innings with a 10-2 record and 3.35 ERA.

Did Ware pitch at all this weekend? I was extremely impressed with Benge and Rizy this weekend, didn’t get to watch Schmidt or Evans

Ware also did not pitch this weekend. Looks like there is a lot left in the tank for the weekday games.

Hmm. Sounds like a Guidry/Ware midweek pitching lineup perhaps?

I don't think Ware pitched last weekend either.

I think I heard that both Eyanson and Ware had strep last week. Could be wrong though. I know it was one of them. But neither of them pitched the last weekend of scrimmages.

Yes. Hopefully we see Ware this week.

There isn’t much you can usually take away from playing a sister of the poor team but pitching control is one of them. You have or don’t have pitching control no matter who you play so this is a great sign.

Towards the end of today’s game, did anyone else hear them say LSU had 8 pitchers hit at least 95 this weekend?

Nevermind , just saw a thread about it. Apparently I was off 1 or 2.

Without having access to the records, I will assume that there has never been a weekend like this (45 K's to 2 BB's) in LSU baseball history.

Unreal good for college baseball. Every single pitcher performed well.

I’d be surprised if Cowan doesn’t start midweek for now. Guidry and Ware not throwing this weekend likely had to do with other factors imo, such as illness

very happy with how well the staff performed this weekend

And don't discount it based on competition.

We didn't look anywhere close to this last year against VMI and Central Arkansas

I know it’s not great competition

I’m not arguing this point, but they did split four games with Missouri last season. They aren’t The Little Sisters of the Poor.

I'd be shocked if Cowan isnt starting a game this week. True innings eater and brings a ton of starting experience. Probably my guy @ Nicholls Wednesday.

I dont know that they'll stretch Ware out that long this early, dude has had a rough past 2 years with injury issues shortening his season.

45Ks in 81 outs. = 55.5% of outs were by strikeout.

2 walks in 3 games means that collectively they had amazing control, and pitch placement.

45 strikes to 2 walks-
I don’t care if you’re playing against a JV high school team, the ability to hit the zone is what stands out….

All these guys throwing kid-90s…. Wow!
