He is not what Tiger Nation built him up to be
Yes, Mett may improve as the season progresses. I think we can only hope he does, because then he'll be something special. But unimproved, UF, SoCar, and UA are lining up for the kill.

Good lord.

This has been one of the most comical post game victory meltdowns of all time
I seriously worry about the mental health of several posters.

WTF did Mett do exactly last night that has people all over his arse? Fumbles, yes that sucked, but without the dropped passes he goes 20-27 for about 230 and 2 TD's. We are just lucky that Josh D didn't get him killed last night.
I was pissed last night but the more I look at it this was just one of those snake bit games where anything that could frick up did. We were just as lackluster last year against State.

If the O-line sucks and the receivers suck, what exactly would JJ have done last night? Thought so.
JJ would have been a nightmare for Auburn on 3rd down with his legs....say what you want about the kid, but he picked up tough yards! Mett curls up like a bitch....that said, it was Mett's first road start...I think he did pretty well minus the softness

After 4 starts, Mett is miles ahead of JJ after 4 Years of starting.

Easily my favorite.
I criticize sometimes, but didn't find that much to bitch about last night. LSU has some personnel issues they need to work around and one significant game isn't enough to make conclusive decisions IMO

That's how I feel. Reminded me of the State game last year but even more went wrong, and the team still pulled it out. It could be a catalyst for better things ahead.

Good lord man, I'm sure he has been told do not take any unnecessary hits. He is not a runner plain and simple

Running behind all those open lanes that are poor offensive line was making huh? Give me a break.
You are dumb, the O-line run blocking is superb (pass protection by the tackles not so much) to average over 4 yards a carry and rush for almost 200 against 9 man fronts is excellent.

I just don't understand how everyone expects to demolish everyone we play. It never plays out like that. Just calm down.
Does for Bama.

Mett is not the QB as advertised.
If not, then we have a much bigger problem. We're getting the recruits at QB but doing nothing with them when they get here. That's a coaching issue. It doesn't matter how much talent the guy has if he's not properly coached to maximize his potential.

You'll see an entirely different team in 2 weeks at Florida
Apart from getting a couple of players back, how so?

Agree 100% but the purple and gold-colored glasses will cloud everyone's judgement.
