Were talking LSU not NFL, hell if we were talking NFL only one LSU QB would be on this list.
Actually, I think Tittle and Jones would both be on that list. Tittle is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Jones was the league MVP in 1976.
This is what Bill Belichik thinks of Bert Jones:
"As a pure passer I don't think I could put
anybody ahead of Bert Jones. I know he had a short career and the shoulder injury, but when
I was there and he was just starting his career, the success that he had and his ability to throw
the ball as a pure passer and as an athlete, it would be hard to put anybody ahead of Bert
Jones at that point in time."
Well yeah if you did NFL obviously Tittle would be #1.

I would. As a freshman Hodson whupped a very good A&M team to begin his great LSU run at QB and he was a tough SOB to boot.

I did say I would shut up and I will.... my only excuse is that I was out of state in college when Hodson played, so I didn't see him like the other QBs. My apologies.

The best question is who would be #2 Jones/JR
Bert has an NFL MVP award on his trophy shelf...

AH yeah, sorry I am not old enough for that... I actually had Hodson and JR NFL stats in front of me. Looking at Bert Jones college stats and Tommy Hodson pro. Quick glance got me confused.

Serious?
Bert Jones was an All-Pro and league MVP at quarterback in the NFL, and one of the best coaches in the history of the league thinks he might be the best that he witnessed. JR, who may yet have a great NFL career - and I hope he does, has done absolutely nothing yet to be mentioned in the same breath as Bert Jones as an NFL quarterback.

I don't consider Russell in this category. He certainly was one of the most talented quarterbacks to have ever been at LSU, but I don't consider him one of the top 5 quarterbacks of all time at LSU.

Watch out. You're about to be called an idiot, moron, racist, etc. here shortly.
The JR jock sniffers will not stand for this.

JR did not accomplish anything at LSU but
Awards and honors
* Columbus Touchdown Club SEC Player of the Year (2005)
* 4x SEC Offensive Player of the Week (1 in 2005, 3 in 2006)
* First-team All-SEC by the Associated Press and SEC coaches (2006)
* Manning Award (2006)
* Davey O'Brien Award semifinalist (2006)

He also lead LSU to 2 top 5 (final)rankings, I believe.

He also had the luxury of having more offensive weapons as a whole than any other quarterback in LSU history. Look, the guy was a phenomenal talent that, IMO (it's an opinion only guys), did not live up to the potential that he had.
