Then you're gonna keep miles.

Crazily enough Herman is the only real possibility. Like the guy said, no shaw, and jjmbo ship has sailed

Herman is sitting pretty

I think If LSU wants him they better root for A&M and Texas to keep their coaches

Franklin is a lol

I thought about Rich Rod, but I think Gary Patterson is too old. He is 60.

1-4 will never happen. None of them are leaving their programs. Gundy is at his Alma Mater

5 don't want
6 be serious Louisiana is a conservative state. He
will never get through the board

7 huge possibility
8 would accept but won't be offered
9 had 1 good year.

You might as well cross out shaw and Franklin. LSU isn't ready for that yet. We will have another black president before LSU hires an African American coach. That's about 10-20 years away

he didn't ruin two programs. He stepped into 2 messes of programs, UT was rotting from the inside and his one season wasn't bad.

USC he was stupid to take his dream job at the time because the sanctions on them were just starting to hammer them to shite.

He isn't my first choice but people are being over dramatic about how bad he is. We know that our offense would stop sucking under him. The guy is throwing up the TD sign as soon as his qb lets go of the ball because he actually game plans all week and finds the weakness.

He also has his good friend Ed O here so either bebe stays on at dline coach or probably gets the nod to dc.

If Lane is in charge of the offense and we have a good dc then we will be fine.

and don't forget that Franklin fricking sucks, seriously we shouldn't hire someone with a worse offense than ours. That would be incredibly stupid.

How serious of a player would Herman really be? Is it known that he wants to be in the SEC?

Who knows if he wants to leave, but you offer any sane man possibly double their current salary and they're gonna consider it.

Now will LSU dish out some serious cash to try and sway him? That I am skeptical about.

You have got to just stop seeing this just from our LSU perspective.

David Shaw is a Stanford guy. He can win there, has won there, and will not feel pressure in the off years he loses 3-4 games. More importantly, he loves the place and is a Stanford guy for life. He routinely tells the NFL to go away, he won't take LSU's calls.

Herman's roots and ties are in TX. That can be exploited from BR, but would be better done in-state. If A&M/Texas make a change, we have no shot.

Gundy has absolutely no reason to leave OKST. He has Pickens money and his facilities are on par with or slightly above LSU's. He's as close to TX as we are for recruiting. No reason, from his perspective, to move.

Fedora is ladder-climbing and he would probably take it. He was in a small amount of trouble before getting Chizik as DC. It's a m'eh hire IMO.

The others, I'd just assume keep Les. James Franklin is sort of on the hot seat at PSU. He better beat Pitt this weekend. We already have good recruiting he adds nothing. Todd Graham will not satisfy LSU fans in the least. Mullen, really?

No way Fisher is an option anymore. That ship sailed last year.

didn't gundy have some issues with pickens and ok state a few years ago? i thought he tried to get out?

fedora would crawl over broken glass to be here. just by process of elimination i think he's going to be the guy. he could turn out to be a really good hire. but i could also see him easily crashing and burning.

herman has coached at ohio state and iowa state. i think he can recruit anywhere. the texas roots are just gravy. unless sumlin craters i don't see atm making a change. strong looks like he's in good shape at texas. the biggest obstacle to us getting herman is UH's possible move to the Big 12 and Alleva/admins incompetence.

fisher is toast. alexander wrecked that forever.

i am meh on shaw.

Why do you think this? Do you think LSU will be the only team trying to get him? You don't think he has aspirations to go to the NFL?

Where does the "real possibility" come from? Reading this board?

I would keep Les Miles a hundred times over before I would want Kiffen to be a coach at LSU.
