Not discounting this, but it sounds all too familiar to what used to be said in the 1990's under Hallman, which really was not true.....actually it was the other way around, an assistant started to undercut Hallman.

The biggest problems are coming from the defensive side of the ball. How do you let a guy rip a 78 yard run on you on a third and short in the third quarter?

Surely you can elaborate a bit on this without exposing your friend or his son.

I'd hate to think this is true but he kind of had that look on his face Saturday like he didn't give two fricks.

Not inherently player issues, but symptomatic of the kind of things you see when those in charge of providing them with leadership and discipline fail at their task.

I heard that he was soft on players at OM but that was at OM, and he has since learned from his mistakes so this again is very unexpected.

It's hard to watch all this go down.

I know we hated Leslie Miles' style of coaching, but his teams didn't quit. O is lightyears behind Miles in terms of being a leader.

Agree on this! O seems to be popular with the players because he caters to their preferences with shorter practices and less intense drills, instead of pushing them to reach new levels. This garners short term loyalty and produces poor results. Somewhat worked last season because the team was working from a better base to start, but that’s all gone now.

I remember Guice being one of the loudest voices after the Aggie game shouting "WE WAN'T O".

I'm sure he has a different tune now.

I really think the fact that O is playing freshmen over the sophs and jrs that waited their turn has created this .

players should very rarely be listened to when it comes to these matters. Of course they wanted Uncle Ed to take over. Uncle Ed is a great babysitter, we get to stay up late, have ice cream for dinner, etc...

They need to go one step higher and remove King.

All we need is a competent President in place that genuinely cares as much about LSU athletics as any fan on this board. Once you have someone like that in place, you're set. They'll bring in the right AD, and will then work with that AD to go all out and bring in an elite coach.

But you absolutely cannot allow King Alexander to bring in his own puppet AD.

Devin White has played hard but so have Greedy Williams, Lacoutre, Williams, Etling, Chark and Moreau. But that number needs to be much bigger, especially from both lines.
