Most fans just don't care as much about basketball as you do.

It all boils down to success. Before Bertmain arrived, nobody at LSU cared about baseball. Basketball was A LOT more popular than baseball in the 70's/80's. People simply want to be associated with a winner, and basketball hasn't done that consistently since the early 90's.

Everything boils down to the new players next year.If they are indeed good recruits then in 2 years we will be winning again. Since Trent doesn't go for the one and done type of player, every four years we will have two years of winning (JR and SR years) and two years of rebuilding (losing).

LOL, this is stupid. Regardless if he played there or not, he's worked his way UP the chain in basketball and would just throw that all away to go to his alma mater which has never done anything in basketball?

He's not going after those types of players right now because of the academic situation and because he wants to build a foundation. He will go after some once he establishes that.

Great is a stretch, great is having a couple of McDonalds AA., good four year players is what we have coming.

I would say being on the verge of a top 10 recruiting class + Malcom White is great for LSU, especially if it contains 4 year players

Have you ever had a positive post about Trent Johnson? We all know your opinion on the great John Brady

Once the foundation is laid, he will go after these types of guys (ESPECIALLY if they are from La). If you have a solid base, you can sprinkle these guys in and still have consistency.

TJ did recuit the Lopez twins to Stanford who were capable of being one and dones although they stayed for 2 years.

Prime example why I like Johnson over Brady so much. So many players under Brady just wanted to leave ASAP. 1 and done guys will stay an extra year for Johnson...

Just imagine our 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 teams if Johnson were here and got Anthony Randolph to stay...

C. Johnson, A. Randolph, T. Mitchell, M. Thornton and G. Temple starting with (Q) Thornton, Martin, Spencer, Farrer, Harris, Warren, Graham and Bass off the bench.

Could of been a Final Four team.

+1. The foundation should be laid after this recruiting class. We'll have Bo Spencer, Storm Warren, Malcom White, Chris Bass, Green, Ludwig, + the recruits. Those are all program type players.

If Green and Ludwig play more than 5 minutes a game next year we're not having a good season

They won't be seeing a whole lot of playing time. You can quote me on this.

I don't see TJ leaving but on the other hand TJ is not your typical coach. He came to LSU without an agent, negotiated his own contract- Why would someone anyone come to LSU to begin with? It is not a BB power- and most likely will never be one.

TJ is his own man and I don't think he will leave or stay based on money.

Exactly. LSU is not going to be a place where the the fans support the basketball program waiting for a winner...unlike football.

It's just the way that it is. When we start winning, people will show up.

2-14 in SEC play with wins over Ar-Kansas and Jawja.

If things don't improve fairly quickly, Trent will have PLENTY of time to look for a job closer to his alma mater.

Spare the crap, the man has a top 15 class on the way along with the addition of Malcolm White. He's in the process of putting HIS players into place. He's a proven winner (see Nevada and Stanford) and LSU will be an easier sell than either one of those schools. Why not focus on the positive things coming up instead of dwelling on a past that he's not even fully responsible for.

Those USL losers make up asinine rumors about LSU daily.

I wish the state would stop funding USL completely
