I can’t remember the year, but I believe the defense stopped Mississippi State on the goal line 4 plays in a row to keep them from winning? My memory is so bad that it must have been somewhere between 2006 and 2014?

Edit: It was the 2009 game, where Mississippi State stalled out at the 1 yard line with a minute to go and LSU won 30-26.

LSU vs Ark 2009.
Fun game that went to OT. Plus the Chad Jones hit.

I wouldn’t say so much as forgotten but definitely underrated because of how both teams finished the year is the 2015 Florida game. Top 10 night game matchup in Tiger Stadium, crowd was going pretty good that game.

Good bit of scoring, we score on essentially a Hail Mary to end the half, Fournette punched a dude mid run, and the fake field goal go ahead TD that was the last bit of trickery we saw out of Miles.

I feel like this game would qualify for your parameters Mr. Boat

2000 vs Miss St. Came back from 10 plus in 2nd half to force OT and win. Crowd was electric.

Not a forgotten game necessarily but certainly doesn’t seem as important to younger Tiger fans - 1982 Jerry Stovall vs Bear Bryant and LSU came away with the win. Hard to believe that was 40 years ago this year. Pigs flew!

That was a good one. Too bad the season ended in such abysmal fashion. Miracle on Markham, indeed.

You are right, the game was 2009. I remember Chris Relf playing for MSST, but it looks like he only threw one pass for 46 yards.

Interestingly, Russell Shepard led LSU in rushing with 26 yards and Jordan Jefferson threw for 233 yards and 2 TDs.

Whatever happened to @ USC 1984? That game is as forgotten as any in the history of LSU football, and shouldn't be. We beat them soundly on the road in Arnsparger's first season, and USC has hardly chopped liver. They finished #9 in the country after winning the Rose Bowl.

2007 vs V Tech.

Thoroughly dismantled a team that never knew what hit them. Best the offense ever looked in that era.
