If we are to believe the HC wasn’t given that information by direct subordinates about a player on his roster, there are bigger institutional issues with this CEO model than we imagined.

This would be the most troubling thing for O. If he didn’t know he should have known and that usually never ends well. Can’t claim plausible deniability when you’re the direct supervisor.

This $hit needs to go away. The longer this lingers, and that rag USA Today stays on this like a dog with a bone, the governing body is going to be making an example of someone/school/program et al.

The question is whether he knew before the Title IX office was notified.

I sure as heck hope this didn’t happen. Or if it did O was at the forefront of informing the TitleIX office

Frick not Sharon. She's the GOAT.

She will just go to Bama if this happens. Saban has been after her for a decade.

When you post things like this it's almost as if you don't know what hypocrisy is.

Convenient how USA Today is now zeroing in on this one case.
LSU did eventually dismiss him but they probably should have cut bait a lot earlier than they did.

Maybe they learned from that one, because the players dismissed recently were much more swift.

Especially convenient timing it right after our biggest win and right before early signing day.

The law firm’s recommendation and any potential NCAA sanctions/punishments will not be decided in a court of law.

The people so entrenched in support of a football coach that they are unwilling to look at the situation and admit there was a disturbingly ugly environment within all facets of the program that allowed these incidents to go on as long as they did are the people that need help.

I’ve never even seen Ponamsky in person in my life if that’s what you’re trying to infer. Not sure what the date I joined has anything to do with it either.

There are two major issues:

Was LSU in the wrong?

Was Orgeron involved enough to be fired?

I think LSU was definitely in the wrong, and will face sanctions. How bad, remains to be seen.

I haven't seen enough to think Orgeron gets brought down over this.

I think there is enough plausible deniability for Orgeron to get off on this.

I heard he was actually there for the assaults and encouraged Davis to do it. Then helped him hide everything from the administration.

It's all Bahnsen. He did it all and should be taken down. Plus, he's a straight(ish) white male so the prog gods will accept his sacrifice.

See this is the problem I have.

We shouldn’t be worried about plausible deniability. We should be concerned about accountability, and listing all of these various people showing how widespread the dysfunction was in the program and university but saying “oh well it’s at least plausible that maybe O dinknownuffin” (to borrow a popular phrase) is just kind of shameful imo.

There was a pattern of abuse by multiple players against multiple girls on campus within our program that went on for YEARS.

That is ultimately what this is about.

Those that continue to look for any excuse to absolve a coach that they may like (Miles shouldn’t avoid blame either if he had or should have had knowledge of Guice’s behavior for the few months between the first incident and his firing btw) are just missing the point or willfully unconcerned about female students being victimized by male athletes at LSU and the atmosphere that allowed that abuse to continue far longer than it should have.

Multiple players and coaches/administration officials on both the football and tennis team knew about these incidents and spoke to multiple university officials on multiple occasions.

That the HC was somehow supposedly unaware of all of this within his program is an indictment in and of itself and perhaps an indication lack of institutional control, not to even get into the more plausible likelihood that he actually did know.

It’s about both obviously.

But there appears to be a much clearer trail within the athletic department about Davis’ lengthy history with Jade Lewis and how that was allowed to continue imo.
