tells me they think we won't have much of a defense this year if we are winning 8 or 9 and have a heisman winner...

BK has not shown he could win the first game, nor has he adjusted to the rigorous SEC schedule. So, Vegas will stay disrespecting us until we show we are capable of playing with the BIG DAWGS.

Did you not see the “way too early” preseason rankings??

2.5 point underdogs for Clemson game
finally! 5 straight years going into the season as a favorite and 0-5. Hopefully team finally gets up for the first game with some motivation. You’d hope they wouldn’t need any extra reason to get started on the right foot with a W but apparently we do

We’ll probably be ranked around #10. This isn’t a preseason unranked team u cray

Top 10. Possibly top 5.
you do realize that silly voter polls (and especially pre-season voter polls) are utterly irrelevant. They're a dinosaur from decades ago.

The only ranking that matters is the final Playoff Selection Committee's rankings.

That it. The rest is noise.

Clemson, Ole Miss and Bama all on the road? It'll take 2019 resolve to overcome that slate. And in 2019 the team did have the benefit of opening with a cupcake, rather than UT right out of the gate.

Honestly that opening date @ Clemson is worrying the be-HAY-sus out of me

Everyone is unranked until the CFP poll comes out in November.

Unless you just like to pay attention to polls that don’t matter, in which case I’ll go ahead and throw my own poll into that mix (mine will be just as relevant as any published poll in August) and I’ll pencil the Fighting Tigers in at no. 1.

Pre-Season Heisman favorites? How many actually end up winning the trophy?
Loss in Game 1 eliminates LSU from the playoffs and probably puts Clemson's QB in front of the Heisman race.
Can BK even win an opener let alone a big game with months of preparation?

You people are so full of shite. Hunter was 50-1 preseason. The real answer is Ricky Williams 1998

While I desperately want to win a season opener finally, I disagree with this.

Not only could we lose the opener, we could lose another game and likely still make the playoff at 10-2.

I totally understand the feeling that this opener is a “must-win”….however, It actually isn’t a must-win
