“Most LSU fans want INSTANT success”

If that were true, there wouldn’t be any LSU basketball fans left.

Most of us would just be happy with making the tournament and maybe win a game. The fan frustration has come from almost having no relevant success for yrs.

The entitlement bug doesn’t reside with the LSU basketball fan.

This is the first part of December. Hopefully, the team will come together soon.

This is where I'm at as well. Considering where this thing started last year when Wade arrive, that would be nothing short of a miracle.

Yes..yes you can. We're living proof of that and it has become our mantra.

I can't see much improvement yet from last year's squad but I'm willing to reserve judgement for a bit longer to see if WW can get this team moving in the right direction.

It doesn't make any sense to make a final, overall judgement when it's only been a year and a half or so since this team finished dead last in the SEC. Will Wade has been successful at every school he's been at so far. There's no reason to think he won't be successful at LSU. Certainly not yet at least.

they had their bigs in foul trouble and we went into a small lineup. no rhythm for any of our lineups.

I saw the same thing during the game. I can see him resting some guys for a bit, but he left that awful lineup in the game until most of the 15 point lead was blown!! We had them where we could have shut them down, but let them get back in the game with a disastrous lineup. I was screaming at the TV to call time out and change the lineup back to the five that stretched out our lead!!

Lmao ... last year after taking over a last place team, Will Wade won more big games than Coach O did last year.

Wow. This board has gone full retard

Correct.

This team has how many new starters? How many are true freshmen?

This team is a work in progress. The quality of play now is not the same quality that will exist in late February and March.

People are really, really stupid. No other way to say it.

For the past year and a half I've read nothing on this Board except that Will Wade was the greatest coaching hire in the history of college basketball. My guess, he was hoping this recruiting class would give him a ticket to the big-time and he'd put LSU in the rearview mirror. He may do that yet, but he'd better start coaching up these superstars.

But it's good to see that the Rant is finally waking up to his deficiencies as a coach. He may have some talent as a coach, but he's young and probably not ready for SEC, much less ACC basketball.

Turnovers and rebounding. Total amateurish appearance. I who know so little of basketball other than fun to watch a good team can almost anticipate each turnover before it occurs. Poor court awareness is how I would characterize it as a "casual observer".

Some people need to turn the games off for a few weeks and put things in perspective. Enjoy the holidays then come back after New Years. There’s a lot of anger in this place. I can relate. After that shitty week with the A&M game and the FSU/OK State games, I took a break from sports altogether. Felt great not being either pissed off or depressed.

Fair post. I would say that it takes time for these new recruits to find their way on the court and figure out what their role is. You can see Smart figuring it out while others are still a little out of sorts. These guys are all used to being the man on their team and winning on pure athleticism. It's gonna take some real game time for these guys to become a cohesive team. At the same time, the coaches are figuring out rotations, who to start, who to come off the bench first and who will finish the game. The leaders of the team probably haven't presented themselves just yet either. These tough road games build all of these things. It's a long season, let's see how they're playing in conference play. The key is playing your best ball at the end of March.

Eta: The speed and physicality at this level is something these new guys have never played against as well. It looks like a few are overwhelmed right now.

I've ready linked and quoted an article about Coach Cal that proves that statement wrong. I believe one of the teams he's talking about went to the final four too. The team with the Harrison twins I think.

do you actually watch the games? Do you know enough to understand what you're seeing?

Or do you just blindly support all that is purple and gold?
