My point exactly. Miles won the NC in 07 and enjoyed about 6 minutes of respect and fan appreciation/happiness.
Give PM one bad year and watch the irrational meltdown begin. It'll actually be fun.

I wanted Mike Bianco when skip retired. Not sure he would have done much better than Smoke. Ole Piss hasn't even been to the CWS yet. Smoke got us to the CWS twice, but 2 and bbq.

i was talking to tommy maineri and he said the draft might hurt the recruiting class coming in hopefully coach willl still find a way to win like he has

we r very lucky to have PM and hope he is here forever but i agree with the assumption that as soon as they come short of their goal or go 2 years without making it to omaha he will start to catch some hell cause thats how so many of the fans for lsu are i love lsu but so many of the fans who want to be coaches and feel like they know whats best is very funny sometimes. Also smoke was a great baseball mind did most of the baseball practice stuff even with the great skip bertman but he didn't know how to run the whole operation

When Tulane has better players than LSU, something was not right in recruiting and developing players under Laval.
As far as pitching, all you had to do was watch Wiederhold (UGA pitching coach) in action this week - he was the worst hire made by Laval. UGA pitching cost them the national title two years ago and their pitching, especially relief this weekend was downright embarassing!
