Seriously question: What has Lane actually won at Ole Miss? Objectively BK has had more success at LSU than Lane with an SEC CG berth and Heisman Trophy Winner. I don’t understand the Lane hype or why we would want him here.

The programs have been roughly equal since they got there. Kelly has more hardware though. But consider one did it at Ole Miss and you see how Kiffin is much more impressive.

That’s not really impressive IMO. Ole Miss has always gotten top talent, the issue has been depth of talent. Given Lane’s past issues at bigger programs I do not think he would handle the pressure well at LSU and his overall W-L record isn’t great.

Which ever program gets LK first, Florida or LSU, will go on a Spurrier/Saban type run. Talent and resources for days between those two programs.

I can’t stand Kiffin. I think he is an arse clown. But, Kiffin is a good coach and he will have good teams. But I don’t think he will ever take a team to the next level.
With that said, right now I would take him over Kelly.

Kiffin would crawl on glass to Baton Rouge for the LSU job. He knows LSU has everything he needs to become the elite coach he wants to be. Everyone knows he’ll never get over the hump at Ole Miss. It’s a shame LSU never called him last search.

I mean he would have built Tennessee’s dumpster fire had he stayed, but decided to take on a disaster at USC that still hasn’t fully recovered.
What he did at FAU and now at Ole Miss is pretty impressive.
I think he’s a young offensive minded Head Coach who’s pretty smart when it comes to adapting and making adjustments.
