I’m wondering if Blake Baker would make a good HC? Definitely a players coach. Dan Lanning, Kirby Smart,Marcus Freeman, HC @ Vandy/ TN/ Ohio State all elevated coordinators.

Yeah, i don't like the chances of that with the current administrational structure.

Schumann’s the same age as Dillingham, and his initial contract was only $3.85mill/yr.
I like the fact he’s been going to school on Saban and Kirby every day for his entire career. No better coaching tree to be a part of.
It might suck for the first season, but I think he could find his way pretty quick. You’d definitely have extra funds to build a staff and roster.

Honest question - is Verge capable of doing that?

will all due respect. finding a great coach is not that simple. This has been tried many times and failed.
and tell us how it worked out LSU taking the safe route last time hiring the winningest coach in college football
Point is there's no guarantees, on anything

This would be a slam dunk hire if Georgia defense wasnt so suspect this year....Georgia fans even started wanting him fired earlier in the year....they were giving up a lot of points. Its a risky hire but he knows the SEC through and through.
Funny enough, while this is a relatively down year for Georgia’s defense, they’re still ranked #20 in YPG allowed. Not bad if that’s your floor.

If we go that route I hope we go with someone that has been a successful coordinator in the SEC, like Lanning and Smart. They are also both defensive guys but Kiffin and Sark were good OC’s. I think I’d start with Schumann if we’re going to try and pull a coordinator.

Stein is extremely intriguing to me.
Oregon doesn’t play anyone, but they lose every time they play a top offensive school.
Stein is 1-4 h2h vs Doboer, Day and Cignetti

Simply narrow down the coaches that have done the most with the least. Sort them out and make sure they understand and can lead the offensive side of the ball. Whoever it is, they must have excellent connections with young dynamic coordinators that think out of the box and their history proves it. I don't care what their name is as long as we hire smart, clever, innovative coaches at every position. that's all folks

Hartline is a stud of recruiter, coach and motivator. Would be a great option just not sure if he wants to leave OSU
