The two seats next to me are a company from Houma. Every week it's two different disinterested assholes that show up for maybe half the game and look around dumbfounded when we do the Chinese Bandit cheer and whatnot.

I know it wasn't you Russian, these guys didn't even applaud when Florida made a nice pass completion.

I know this topic has been done to death on here but since you started the topic I guess I will add my thoughts.
Plain and simple the Tiger Stadium of old is not the same as the Tiger Stadium of current. I cannot speak of games from past decades, as I have only been going to games since 2001, BUT I have experienced everything since then. Over the past 13 years we have witnessed the best years of this LSU football program. I would say all the way until after the 2007 season Tiger Stadium was something you had to experience first hand. Everything was loud, exciting, the atmosphere was crazy, the way College Football is supposed to be. Since then t has changed in many ways.
As far as the fan atmosphere is concerned, it's like nowadays Tiger Stadium is a caricature of what it use to be, instead of being the loudest craziest stadium in all of College Football, we just kinda phone it in and only cheer when a big play happens or a 3rd/4th stop happens. Remember the days when you use to leave Tiger Stadium after a win and on the way exiting fans would still be going nuts yelling "GEAUX TIGERS!" for endless amounts of time? When was the last time that happened? Now its like people who actually stayed during the game are quickly to leave with no fanfare, like being at the game was one big inconvenience to them, and that they have to beat traffic.
And that is the best was to describe most "fans" or ticket holders. Everyone seems inconvenienced at the game. Sure they will have fun when something good happens but that constant crazy/loud/fun atmosphere is gone. Replaced by people who are not interested in the game, are on their phones or are talking about god knows what for hours on end, as If tailgating is the main attraction and going into the stadium is a big social gathering and the game is just extra. And dont give me examples of how some games were loud because this is LSU god dammit, we are supposed to be loud and exciting at every game.
How many blowouts in our favor have fans left for? Even in 2011 how many fans left before the clock hit 00:00? Could you imagine if for Arkansas 2003, which was a blowout in really cold weather, if a good majority of the fans left at half or before the end of the game? Of course you cant, because despite it being a blowout and in the cold, all of the fans stayed and celebrated LSU victory and a great season they had given us, remember we were not guaranteed BCSNCG. The fans had passion no matter what, and at the end of the day that is what is missing.

Now I don't typically complain when people leave in the middle of the 4th quarter, to each their own, but this is god damned horrendous.

You didn't know that LSU just started having games @ 2:30? Yeah, this is the first year. Also, did you know that it's sometimes really hot in Louisiana in October? I didn't. I was shocked when I got to my seat to find out it would be in the upper 80s for the next 4 hours.
We really have some soft fans these days.

Don't go anywhere outdoors. I hear it may still be in the 80's this weekend. Also, tell her to bring some cotton balls to dab your vag.

My gf was sick all week and wasnt 100% Saturday but managed to stay the whole game. It was hot but not unbearable.

i think they should ban tailgating. that way only those people genuinely interested in the game would come.

Were they cute w/ big roots?
Seriously though, while it is painful to see they have the right to do that.

A growing contingent of our fanbase consists of indolent pussies. That's just the plain truth.

A lady passed me on the way up to her seats and said "Whew! I think I'd rather be in my living room right now!" I said, "Go home, then"
I hate that stuff.

Originally, there was a reason for night games. whether it was the heat in the early fall or working class fans or what ever it was that made LSU and its traditions famous. Alleva needs to stand up to the powers that be and say enough. They still televise other night games, just let it be LSU. Why do we need to add on SEZ upper deck if we can't keep the rest of the stadium full? But that is another story for another day.

People will complain about the heat and the sun, but it's just pathetic when my friends and I would be sitting out there from noon until kickoff for 7PM games and never bitched and moaned about "the heat".
It's not something that is particularly a big deal, especially if you actually are from Louisiana. The heat isn't worse now than 15-20 years ago, but many will claim we never played a 2:30 game in our history until the last 5 years.
