I have been critical of Kelly's decisions (particularly his flubbing of key hires, essentially having to rebuild the entire defensive staff just a year ago) and the product on the field, particularly outside of the Bama game in year 1, the JD5 show and flashes (willing the Ole Miss game to victory, somehow, this year). Talent evalution/development, particularly on the defensive side of the ball is a solid D, D+ grade for the Kelly era to this point.
Having said all of that, 8-4U is bullshite. Kelly won 10 games in 2022 and 10 games in 2023 at LSU. So, it is just 8-4 for just this year, my guy. Could it be 9 wins? Sure. Does that mean a single thing in the 12-team playoff era? Not at all.
But, even if we drop the bowl game, it is 8-5. So, it won't be "8-4U" in any capacity. Not 2024. Not in the average. Not in any way.

Ummm BK had 10 win seasons
Nobody talks about "regular" seasons when they talk about a teams record.
Everyone talks about the season, the whole season, and nothing but the season. And that includes the bowls.
The bowls are far more competitive than opening season games against cupcakes. Almost every team playing in a bowl game has a winning record. Baylor will be a tough out for us.
In conclusion, go frick yourself with your bullshite about not counting bowl games. Most everyone is tired of your shite.
