I agree that Ware seemed to be celebrating being safe.

Tduecen, can you tell me why every time I am reading a thread when you're involved, you are name calling or trying to call someone stupid. I'm assuming you have a degree from Tulane so you must understand that name calling is one of the lowest forms of communication. I know you I may be in your Sig quote soon, but unlike the poster in your Sig currently, I'm not being sarcastic. And just so we are clear, my IQ is triple digits.

Actually if you read I am not the one name calling, I am mocking others for the name calling. I guess you just don't read that.

You should tell some of these people that

All due respect, I know you're a vet but you cant seriously think that poster was being serious. Its context was blatant sarcasm, which is also a low form of communication. In fairness to you, that poster in the Head coach rankings thread was namecalling first. Of course, responding to a poster namecalling with your own namecalling doesn't make it right. I was interested in that thread just as I was this one, and here you were again at it with the Lsu posters.

About my IQ, I'm just messing around about your Sig quote. I'm average. I am an educator and realize students are only made aware of their IQ if they are gifted (high iQ) or need special services (low IQ). Otherwise, a person must pursue an IQ test themselves. Most likely, they will find out they are average.

He was being 100% serious... unless you believe him that he got a 36 ACT 1600 SAT and has a PH.D from Yale... which he also stated

quote:

Its context was blatant sarcasm
No it wasn't...

quote:

In fairness to you, that poster in the Head coach rankings thread was namecalling first
As was this one, since LSUsteve started it along with other posters who had issue with me pointing out the obvious

quote:

. Of course, responding to a poster namecalling with your own namecalling doesn't make it right
It makes it fun

quote:

here you were again at it with the Lsu posters
Not my fault they were sensitive... In the HC thread all I did was point out an obvious error by a biased poster and he got upset. Just as this one, I pointed out the obvious and people got upset. Not my fault that they have some sensitive fans who revert to name calling when upset.

Initially I think ware was ok in his celebration but when he saw the catcher writhing in pain the extra flex/stomp was uncalled for. What made it worse was the catcher manning up and tossing a strike to 3b for a run down of mahtook. Then ultimately the arse stomping we took didn't make things better in retrospect.

I like ware's spunk but cleating a guy, whether clean or not, and it results in an injury, and we revel in that injury inflicted, was, indeed, ghetto.

Basically if it happened against LSU it would be called dirty but because it was an LSU player doing it, it is badass

Nah. The play was clean. In MLB he would have plowed over the catcher. In college baseball, you can only go in feet first on that play...which is what Ware did.

However when he scored, he jumped up and was a bit too excited. It just so happened that the catcher was injured on the play. So, it seemed like he was taunting a guy that he just injured.

You are not reading what I wrote correctly... I never argued that it was not a clean play. I am saying that if it happened against LSU the fans would be calling it dirty instead of "badass" as some are putting it.

Your entire response is troubling especially the "it makes it fun", "it was blatant sarcasm", & "it's not my fault Lsu fans are sensitive" reminds me why most of the time I don't visit or post on the Tiger Rant. Those 3 quotes show 1. You have a good time upsetting people on this board. That's unhealthy. 2. You even have trouble accepting my opinion that I believe the poster in the Head coach thread was being sarcastic and I am not upset. And 3. You place the blame for low forms of communication on others. In others words, no accountability. It's a good idea to respect others and their opinions. What you feel may be biased, the 2 posters in these instances may have believed what they posted. Again, with respect, you don't make the final judgement. Their is none. That is why these are discussion boards. People are expressing their own opinions. Most of the time people can have different views and still both make good points. There's a right and wrong way to talk to people and express your own views. I know others do it as well. I am really just frustrated everytime I try to read a thread of interest on the regular Rant, it's garbage.

Nope

It's just that he really wasn't... Unless you firmly believe his 36 ACT 1600 SAT and Yale Ph.D

quote:

It's a good idea to respect others and their opinions
I do when they are well thought out and can get into a rational debate with someone... once they dip into name calling, I will engage and have fun

quote:

you don't make the final judgement
I can make whatever judgement I feel like

quote:

People are expressing their own opinions.
So you have no problem with them expressing opinion but me expressing mine and mocking them when they start name calling bothers you. Got it sounds like you have a problem with me.

quote:

Most of the time people can have different views and still both make good points
Yet they make no good points, they revert to name calling

quote:

There's a right and wrong way to talk to people and express your own views
Good thing we are on a message board and typing

quote:

I am really just frustrated everytime I try to read a thread of interest on the regular Rant, it's garbage.
A message board may not be the place for you then

Spikes weren't 'up,' implying he was looking to hurt the c.
And Goofy, moral relativism doesn't play around here: LSU, either you're with us or against us.

He probably wasn't trying to hurt the catcher, but the spikes were up and in that case someone can get hurt.

It's too late/early to read all of this - waiting on a life size bunny to shite some gold brick eggs - that being said - I believe Ware is 19 years old (-/+) when a person is that age - they usually react with the juices flowing.

Really class to play scoreboard with 1 run - he deserved the abuse he received - and I saw it personally.

Not justifying Ware's stomping, but maybe in the heat of the moment he got excited being safe and without noticing the catcher being hurt remebered the way the vandy player stomped on the plate when they scored first.
