I agree with this sentiment, but it’s funny how quickly this board turned on Paul for not having Skips level of success in Omaha, then clamor for coaches with even less success in Omaha.

The fact is that his coaching record pales in comparison to those of Corbin, O’Connor, McDonnell, Johnson, and Godwin.

Way younger than most, just got his own team 4 years ago.
If you go by resume only, you'll hire an older coach. That eliminates a lot of possible young talent.
If Vitello interviews well, I would have no issue at all with him a the helm.

Just trust in SW, he made a decent WBB coaching hire. He will get the right guy.

He's off the list apparently and that list is getting smaller. If you don't get Vietello who's left that's a big name? Corbin? That's probably not happening either. I would argue Vitello looks more attractive than Godwin but at worse, they're at least equal. You could definitely argue Vitello is more impressive what he's done. I wouldn't mind Godwin though if we lose on TV.
