75% chance at least. Look at the NFL track record for Qb’s with < Two seasons of starts in college, it’s not pretty. His dad knows that better than anyone.

He hasn’t hit the meat of the schedule yet. Any extrapolation made using OOC numbers is inherently flawed.

I mean we've played USC, South Carolina, UCLA, and a Nicholls team who took a shite ton of clock away. It's not like we've played Ole Miss' schedule.

It'll likely get tougher from here on out, but we don't play many super stout defenses.

His dad also knows a good way to tank your draft stock is playing your money year with a brand new offensive line, tight end, and wide receivers.

Make his NIL better than his Rookie contract and he will be back.

But I think there is less than a 0% chance he come back if he keeps it up.

Not a bad idea , that might not leave enough left to share with the rest of the team though lol .

I would hope he comes back but he’ll probably do what his dad advises.

I have it higher than 50 % at this exact moment. He beats Ole Miss with an impressive game… we’re gonna see him mocked as high as top ten…

20%. Assuming he keeps up his outstanding play then he will be a first or second round pick and will leave. If his play starts to fall off then he would be projected as a mid to late round pick and would likely stay. Additionally, if he loses his OL and Underwood signs, then that will be a huge factor into him leaving. It will all depend on his draft grade and how likely it is he would start over Underwood next year.

Nuss is already a 1st rounder. Probably a high 1st rounder

I believe Kiper just had him as the QB8 and not in the 1st round

Upvoted because I think your overall sentiment is correct, but this is the reason for ALL the DVs:

quote:

Daniels running ability and deep ball are elite , but his short and intermediate throws are not that great.

Has nothing to do with the topic, and plain wrong!

Beck 1 and Milroe 5, I can guarantee Nuss will go before those 2.

Very slim . He is putting out some great film that a lot of nfl teams will love . If he continues to play like this he will probably be a first round pick and he’s gone . Barring a serious injury . I know this might blow some people’s minds but Nuss is a better pure passer than Jd. Obviously with Jd’s running ability he is hard to defend , but making all throws Nuss is better . Daniels running ability and deep ball are elite , but his short and intermediate throws are not that great.

Keep in mind that they were limiting the routes early in the year over the middle.

They are just beginning to trust Nuss. That could result in his performance going through the roof or could result in more interceptions.

Nuss will come back. He wants a championship over money.

Book it.

Yeah, looking at all we’re losing and combine that with the weak QB draft class, I think he’s gonna wind up almost having to go, assuming he plays well the rest of the season. He doesn’t have to stay on this pace, but if doesn’t just start throwing terrrible picks and winds up double digits, I can’t see an advantage to coming back. He could be a much better QB, but have significantly less production. And it’s not like he’s be coming back to try to win a championship. We are looking at ‘26 at the earliest, if all the ‘25 guys are as good as their rankings and take a jump similar to the 2011 Sophomores from the ‘10 class. But I think ‘27 is probably more realistic. We should be absolutely loaded on both sides by then. The ‘26 defense could potentially be championship caliber, though. I really like this ‘24 class and they’ll be Jrs with lots of experience. But next year could be rough on offense.

With how loyal he's been so far, and seeing JB and JDs success their final year. I think he sticks it out and comes back for a heisman and natty. With the NIL money he is and will make, he has more financial incentive to stay.
