It was my sophomore year and I won the lottery to buy a student ticket. I was about 10 rows up in the endzone.
I had similar seats in Atlanta at SEC championship that year. Going into the game, we had no chance of moving past #3 because there was no way that the preordained greatest team of all-time, OU could lose. And then sometime during the game they showed the score of the Big 12 Championship game and OU getting boat raced by Kansas State. We blew Georgia out and we all stayed up late at the hotel watching a Hawaii game that could affect someone's SOS and in turn the BCS computers. I remember landing in the BR airport just in time to see the BCS selection show in the one little restaurant that they had in it at the time. Just getting into the game was surreal. I have no idea how I passed any of my finals that next week because I was lurking on this site like crazy. The anticipation for that game was like nothing I've ever experienced before or after.

While I was taking that piss at the half an LSU guy busted in the bathroom and yelled "Allright big dicks on the right, Sooners on the left"! He repeated it.
Dude was about 6'-9". Whoever was dressed in red didn't say a word, including Barry. They promptly got the Fukk out of the bathroom.

I was there on the 10 yard line. It was awesome. I thought the roof was going to blow off when Marcus Spears returned that pick six!

I was in the dome, maybe 2 rows from the top, with my daughter. While lower seats would have been great, I was ecstatic just to be in the building.
When we won, it was the greatest sports related moment of my life. I was 43 at the time, and between bad seasons, bad coaches, and various heartbreaking losses, I had begun to think I'd never see us win a championship.
Barring Alzheimer's or Dementia, and for as long as The Lord allows it, that's a night I will never forget.
