You know, nobody was particularly upset at Miles when we let RP go. But RP was so highly touted that we couldn't get a good recruit at QB the following year. That left us with extremely young QB's. It generally takes years to get comfortable with a college offense, so our troubles are not surprising. And I hate to break it to you, but 1) QB's generally don't improve week to week (they make their biggest strides in the off season) and 2) JL probably isn't any better than JJ at this point. We don't have any choice but ride it out.
The important thing is that we should be in pretty good shape in 2010 and 2011. The QB's will have matured, the recent stockpile of OL talent should be hitting the field and it looks like Chavis can keep the D stout.
So, enjoy the wins this year, and suffer through the losses gracefully, and be happy that we are on track to win our regularly scheduled NC in 2011.

He hasn't even touched him yet in that picture. That is RIGHT before contact was made.

The ball was just plain and simple thrown behind him, and should have hit him in stride.
looks like there is a defender pretty damn close coming from the left at the point of the catch.
he threw it to the space in the zone.

That defender was behind Randle in his route, he had the DB beat. There was no defender to break up the pass had he been hit in stride, there's no reason for the ball to be purposely thrown behind him.

that defender is coming from the sidelinenhash and he ends up tackling randle right after the catch. looks like cover 2 to me
its not like he had a lot of time to throw that bitch deep to him. He put everything he had into the ball

Your post is stupid. We lost to a better team last night. Defense is for real, but the offense / Crowton has done a poor job. We have the chance for great year except for rats like you who have already jumped ship on a 5-1 team.

fuggin bandwagon boys this should be posted on the majority of the fake fans posts on here

Yeah, that's RIGHT before he made contact with JJ.

then that corner put his arms out way to early, because the screenshot before that one looks like contact is about to be made. Pretty sure there was contact there and EITHER WAY, he was under a lot of pressure and moved the chains

Yeah, he definitely put his arms out early.

What will it take?
More option runs.
More running plays from obvious run formations.
More long-developing pass plays on obvious passing downs.
Oh...wait...we already do that.

Jefferson stinks..not a leader and can't keep the offense on the field..can't we recruit a really great QB..another Hodson or Jones...

The pass to Randle against UGA was behind him and was only caught because RR is a stud. Did he even get in the game last night?
Posted on 10/11/09 at 3:56 pm to DocBugbear
JL was thrown in last year. He had more experience coming into this year. Miles fell in love with JJ in the Peach Bowl. I don't know the answer, but its not JJ.

JJ doesn't throw the ball near a defender normally, or a receiver. Prefers to stare down one receiver for 5 seconds then bounce off of defenders until dragged down.
You sure about this? I remember after the GT game that the JJ advocates claimed he checked off multiple times and could freeze defenders in their tracks to hit the open receiver.
Oh and upside, lots and lots of upside

I don't get all the JJ hate. I don't watch every single LSU game, but I watch a lot of them. With a better OL he'd be a star imo.
Honestly, he was the scariest QB I think we'll face all year. Ponder's decent, but that team's a joke.
Your coaches do need to do a better job of managing him. It was very interesting to see only, what, ONE screen called against FL's pressure? And it went for 10+ yards IIRC. The coaches didn't bother to try to neutralize the overpursuit with playcalls. Instead, the ran the option a couple of times and seemed to call a buncha middle-long pass plays that were doomed. Shoulda been easy to see that on tape.

at this point what other options do we have but to ride it out with Jefferson? Do we reallly want to take the redshirt off of Chris Garrett. He'll have to go through the whole learning process himself. Same with Shep. Does anyone really need to be reminded of the disaster that was JL last year? and TC McCarthy is a walk on, yet he might be our most viable option if we were to bench Jefferson.

This caused me to break several household items.

Don't question our coaching staff.... Haven't you been reading the rant, it's brilliant!!!
