I agree with everything except this. Unfortunately, Sabans don't grow on trees. We had the greatest coach ever and let him walk. All we can hope for is another good coach.

Saban is just the easiest example of the point. Because we had him. A coach that runs a program where you don’t worry about the team being prepared to execute every Saturday.

Earlier in the day I admit I started being immediately realistic. Regardless of the outcome v UCLA I was reminded we were not on that level.
Yep, we are NOT on Bama's level.

We are NOT on Les Miles LSU level, either. A Miles team would have run the ball and controlled the clock, if he had to put 8 offensive linemen on the field. And they'd have set the edge on defense. We'd have won last night, and last year against Miss State and Mizzou, in boring, unspectacular fashion, and people would be complaining about the lack of exciting offense.

Now, we have a QB who throws for 300+ yds and 3 TDs, and people are pissed because we lose the games.
