Dude, his hire was almost unanimously praised on here (comparatively speaking considering how most things go on here). There aren't many really good coaches who have consistently won everywhere they have been, but he has been one of them and people were excited about that.
He was praised for an A job in year 1 with beating Bama and winning the West. That was better than anyone imagined him doing in year 1.
Year 2 was a mixed bag because of the atrocious D, but he still got praise because we ended up with 10 wins and JD5 progressed into a Heisman winner. He restored the program with consecutive 10-win seasons.
All was looking pretty good until this terrible skid right now. It's about wins and losses and when you look awful in a 3-game skid after getting to 6-1, you're going to be very unpopular around here. It would be the same for any coach. It hasn't been from the beginning at all. Outsiders didn't like him, but the hire was greeted with excitement around here.

Most fans accepted BK. The last 3 weeks he has lost 95% of the fan base. He is not that guy and LSU deserves better.

The funny thing is posters here will say he sucks or whatever then clamor for LSU to hire guys that are comparable or objectively worse.

Viable excuse year 1 and possibly year 2. He's the one that set those expectations by saying we needed to be patient until this year. In today's version of college football, coaches get paid exhorbitant salaries and have to meet high expectations.
In other words, the expectations were appropriate. The results are not.

I’ll help you understand. His best year, results wise, was his first year in which the majority of the team was players that he didn’t recruit or develop. This year is going to be his worst year, which is concerning because all we have heard was “wait until he gets his players”.
So far this year, he has lost to two .500 teams with coaches that were hired in the same cycle as him and two first year head coaches. Thats not good.

Year three plus the advantage of the transfer portal (which I hate) means that he definitely is shitting the bed this season.

Never was a big fan of his personality at ND but was willing to look past that if he won games here. 0-3 in openers (including to 5-5 SC this year) and team that appears totally unprepared for some games and/or unable to adjust makes it harder to like him.
He does not seem the type of coach that “could take his’n and beat your’n, then take your’n and beat his’n.” Seems he needs superior talent and even then can be out-coached in a game.

Half of the fan base didn't want him to begin with. Other than Daniels saving Kelly's arse last year, Kelly hasn't brought much to the table, except a low handicap

Seems like just a few O type loyalists to me. BK hire was well received. He told us give him 3 years. We did. The Trajectory is awful.

We were Vegas favorites in 11/12 to start the year.
Its not that we lost to Alabama, but the way we looked in losing.
The offense is averaging 14.5 ppg over the last 2 weeks. That includes a garbage time touchdown.
Its not even the fact that we lost to A&M. Its the fact we got outscored 31-6 in the last 25 minutes.
We are progressively getting worse and that is a bad sign
