I think Joe Brady was a big part of the reason, sorry, but that change in offense brought out the best in Joe Burrow and he said that. Look at what he did the season before in the type of offense Ensminger and Orgeron had him playing in. They then bring in Brady and the rest is history.

Why didn’t Brady want to keep him if he was so awesome?

I'm sorry, what did you want Brady to say to Peetz? "I know we're good friends and all but I don't want you to take a step up the football coaching ladder. I know LSU needs an offensive coordinator and that it would be a major improvement in your coaching career to become an offensive coordinator at one of the top programs in college football, but I need you stay in Carolina working with Teddy Bridgewater as the fricking QB coach."

Did you honestly think Brady would fight to keep one of his best friends on board at Carolina rather than moving up in the coaching world as an offensive coordinator at LSU? The same school where Brady just coached (at a lesser position than OC as passing game coordinator) which gave him the opportunity to move up to the NFL as an offensive coordinator after one year in the position.

I don’t “know” that. He certainly was a key piece. I believe other key pieces were:

- Steve Ensminger
- Dave Aranda
- Joe Burrow
- Chase and perhaps the greatest assemblage of offensive skill position talent in history
- A veteran, talented offensive line with at least three NFL starters
- One of the best secondaries LSU has ever had
- A very deep and solid front seven with two superstars in Chaisson and Queen

Yes, I thought he might say that if he was any good at coaching a QB. Doesn’t look like Teddy made any progress with Peetz so maybe Brady wanted his “good friend” to go.
I do agree with him needing experience though....maybe he learns at LSU.

I also really doubt that Peetz and Brady were good friends at all——just coworkers. Peetz is just a “name dropper” like anyone really gives a sh*t who he knows.

Now, Mangas and BRADY were and ARE good friends, so I’m betting on Mangas to be the difference maker here. He has Brady’s OLD job now, so I do believe in Mangas. He is the one who could help LSU this year if Peetz’s ego doesn’t get in the way of input from Mangas, so we did get ONE good hire.

Yeah....clearly NOT a Peetz fan but HIGH hopes for Mangas!
Coach E didn’t have that big ego! That’s why Coach E and Brady were successful-together.
