We don't have anyone to guard that gal. We need to double team her but she will get her 30 points, we have to hope the others don't make the 3's, and that big blond don't kill us with the pick and roll layups.

Gonna be a tough draw for whoever. She has serious cardio and moves a ton and if you let you guard down she is ready

You don’t put ONE on her. You double her all night take 30-35 points away from Iowa then outscore them. Staleys arrogance lost her team that game and a ship playing her one on one.

Morris has the quickness but not the height. I think you trap her and try to get the ball out of her hands as much as possible. Cant get beat by easy layups. Make her shoot from down town and hope she misses more then she makes. That little Marshall girl can fill it up as well. We have to hold her under 30 to have a good shot to win. With our bigs we should have the rebounding edge

THis might be the time to pull out one of the hybrid defenses used years ago. Dale Brown came up with "the freak" for someone, but I don't remember the details.
Lots of teams would occasionally use a "box & one" or a "diamond and one".
Put Morris on Clark when she crossed the mid-court line and anytime she gets within scoring distance the nearest defender joins Alexis in guarding her.
Or put Morris and Johnson on her 2 on 1 and make the other 4 beat you.

Play a box and one and rotate the one on her to give her different looks. Will cut down on the back screens/drives to the goal. Likewise will have someone in her face when she tries to shoot from the perimeter.
