Anyone who can exhibit an ounce of engagement. Sulking in the dugout and a negative effect. Not even neutral, negative.
The head coach needs to at least show emotion. Heck, argue a call for your boys. Show them you care. Have a random — well timed ejection. That motivates the team.

The head coach doesn’t need to coach his whole team, he needs to coach all of his coaches. Evaluate where the team is leaking and hold that coach accountable and coach him up.

Tim Tadlock

Tadlock, who took the Red Raiders to the College World Series for the third time in five years, will receive a seven-year, $7 million deal that pays him $300,000 in base salary and $700,000 in rights fees each year of the contract. The agreement runs through Aug. 31, 2025.

His new agreement boosts his annual pay from $700,000 to $1 million. The deal features a range of bonuses from $25,000 for a Big 12 championship to $75,000 for a national championship.

To leave the Red Raiders for another Big 12 coaching job, Tadlock would owe Tech 40 percent of the remaining value of his contract. His buy-out to take any other Division I coaching job is 20 percent of the remaining value of the contract.

I don’t see him leaving either & not because of the money

Are you on the baseball staff or involved with LSU athletics?

CPM will leave/retire on the day of his own choosing. He has zero chance of being fired...zero.

When he retires, it will be a challenge to find someone who can consistently live up to our fans expectations.

I'm not saying Mainieri is above criticism, but he does this quite a bit.

You asked who I would hire to replace CPM. I answered. However I don’t think CPM is going anywhere any time soon, nor do I want him to.

In this order, I would offer:
1. Tadlock-TT
2. Gary Gilmore-CC
3. Dan Heefner-DBU
4. Bianco-OM(He would much better here than at OM)

I was just curious since you said

How do you know he isn’t doing that?

IMO I don’t think we see Ochinko next season & if that’s the case it will show he is holding them accountable

Let me save you the trouble
Coaching set up same as CPM, with a volunteer hitting coach

Paul isn’t leaving until he wants to. This is getting so tiring.

He didn’t just beat LSU, he won the National championship...at Coastal Carolina. Do you know anything about that school other than that? No because it has no other accomplishments. So winning a NC there is a big deal.

That’s right, make the opponent make a play.
