O will go with Brennan because we don't like duel threat QB's. Bama don't have but 3!!!

How's that any different from the current starting QB?

If Narcisse can throw a long ball with even the shitty accuracy of Etling, he's the perfect QB for this offense, assuming he's a good runner, which no one knows if he's any good at that either at this level.

Nobody on this board thinks the current starting qb is adequate to run the passing game of our offense. If you think that Narcisse should play because he can throw like Etling...be ready for the down votes. We need to upgrade on accuracy of throwing more than anything.

Not sure you got the point i was making.
Etling isnt' adequate to run the passing game of our offense.
He's also not adequate to run the running game of our offense.
If you're going to have a QB who can't complete passes accurately, he might as well be a running threat, like Narcisse.

Based on conversations I've had with folks in the WR room...it's Brennan and it won't be all that close.

i don't care if it's Brennan or Narcisse.

If we are going to put a QB in the game that isn't a run threat, then he damn well better be a good passer. If he can't pass either, then you might as well run the wildcat every play with a RB.

Yeah right. You hang with the WRs and they confide in your what their choice at QB is. Sure they did.

Fair enough. I think the coaches will choose Brennan though. He will touch the ball on every play and the threat to throw and complete passes will be there. We will have a stud running back to tote the rock...no need for the qb to.

From the film I’ve watched on Narcisse from QB camps and combines, he didn’t seem to have any trouble with accuracy. Now he could be struggling with learning the playbook or making decisions but he can throw the football.

Well that's what having a legitimate shot of winning multiple national championships will do for you. You get a shite load more bargaining power when you have as many titles as Saban does.

Just remember, we've heard that exact thing before about guys who don't make good decisions in games.

Ideally, I guess the dual threat guy would be better, everything else being equal.

But I lean more to the pocket passer; take Etling for instance. He physically can't make some throws, and we saw that against Alabama. It cost us the game.
But he is aware of his role and the timing of plays, and he saw and TRIED to make those throws.

My thought is, Brennan with experience might play the same as Etling, but complete the deeper passes. Narcisse might trust his physical tools a bit too much and deviate away from the play, or not take the checkdown because he thinks he can buy time for the deep guy to get open. If he can, great... but if not, we have seen that sort of thing before.

I don't normally like 2 qb systems but their styles are a pretty good contrast , it might be worth a shot unles one is so good we can't keep him off the field. Teams would have to prepare for both.

Narcisse has a lot more zip on the ball from the limited video I’ve seen of him.

Fortunately Canada is known for being able to adapt offenses to both styles. As mentioned, I would like to see some short yardage zone read packages for Narcisse if he can complete passes. This would give defenses one more thing to prepare for. I loved the wild tiger with Williams against bama. Would liked to have seen a little more of it actually.

Myles is not fully SEC ready, Narcisse will bw what will be..
I am pretty sure the coaches will pick based on performance.... NOW, what they may have done in High School is not a factor
