What's ridiculous is this comment. They've been undefeated for two years with recruiting classes that were ranked middle of the pack in FBS, at best. That includes a win over the SEC West champ, no matter how many excuses you want to give Auburn.

This is a ridiculous paragraph. Yes they went undefeated for 2 years with middle-of-the-pack recruiting. and all but one of the teams they beat during that time had worse recruiting.

There's really nothing that impressive about eating a bunch of other bad teams. Yeah they beat Auburn. But don't try to bootstrap that one Auburn victory into some sort of pretense that the other 24 victories were worth a shite

It really wasn't a 2 for 1 offer per se. The "1" was to be a neutral site, not at UCF.

AND, ALOT of schools could go undefeated if they played UCF's schedule.

Truth is there was never an actual offer in the first place. It was media hype. The media either gets the chance to mash UCF or bash UF depending on what side they were on.

UCF can't afford a 2 for 1 with the home being away. We have 1 for 1 deals set up with Louisville, Stanford, Pitt, GT and will probably add more. Playing UF would be nice, but it wouldn't really help us enough to lose 2-4 million in revenue and a home game.

hang on a minute.

UCF asked for a neutral site game and UF offered to play UCF at UCF and UCF denied? Holy shite. How scared is the UCF administration?

I mean I know that if you can avoid playing real teams all season and get marginal teams (yes, us) in bowls you can carry out this charade for a while...but we all know it is crashing down.

I think UCF has a good chance in 1 neutral site game. Playing three games is not ideal for UCF, regardless of location.

Wow you’re actually next level stupid. Have you ever taken an IQ test?

So let me just get this very straight: you think that even though UCF and LSU play in the same exact sports organization, the NCAA, and that UCF’s fans and school are claiming to be better than us, a school that they’re literally in direct competition with next week, even though they haven’t played 1/10th as difficult of a schedule as us, that they’re somehow actually better than us because they get shittier recruits and play shittier teams because they’re doing better than teams in their conference, which is a just a subgroup of the NCAA?

I’m not sure if you’re the dumbest person I’ve ever talked to or if there’s actually something wrong with you. This easily takes the cake for worst argument I’ve ever seen on this board and that’s seriously saying something

UCF ‘moving on’ from football series discussions with Florida

quote:

On Monday, the Orlando Sentinel published an email exchange between Florida’s athletics director Scott Stricklin and UCF’s athletics director Danny White.

quote:

UCF, however, has taken the stance that they will not play two-for-ones with Power Five teams, only home-and-homes. With that in mind, Stricklin replied to White’s email.

“UF isn’t in the market for home-and-home or a neutral site games against non-Autonomy 5 opponents,” Stricklin replied. “However, we would be open to a series similar to what we’ve agreed to with USF … two games in Gainesville and one in Orlando. We are in need of a home opener for the 2022 season, so the 9/3/2022 date you mention would be a perfect date to begin the series, and we can fill in the remaining games from there.”

quote:

“Playing a home-and-home, non-conference against us doesn’t really make sense for them,” White said. “Playing a two-for-one doesn’t really make sense for UCF.

How do you think UCF deserves a neutral site game with the University of Florida? Thats insane.

Your school makes stupid demands and then pretends they are being ducked because no one would ever meet those demands.

Why would Anthony Joshua agree to a fight with Bubba from West Virginia thats never lost a fight?

Aww, you poor thing. You typed all that out and I never said any of it.

So what exactly were you saying then? I’m genuinely curious, because I’m pretty sure I summarized exactly what you were trying to get at. Again, I get that you’re a window licker who can’t type very well but why don’t you clarify your point for the rest of the board

Well, you're wrong. Which is typical of people who resort to childish tantrums and personal attacks when they disagree with an opinion.

I never said they were better than us. All I said is that they've managed to beat every team they've faced and it's damn impressive relative to their talent level and regular competition. It's not like they're an SEC-level roster beating up on a severely outclassed conference, so calling everything they do and everyone they play "shitty" in an attempt to disparage what they've accomplished is silly.

I'm not even sure what you're melting about. My first post in this thread criticized UCF for believing they can play hardball with programs like Florida. I only called your initial post ridiculous because nobody would be burning Orgeron's house down if LSU was undefeated. And I don't understand why UCF's chest-pounding is so bothersome either. They can chirp all they want until somebody beats them.

I can't disagree. If you're the better team, play them anywhere. Why be scared to play UCF? What, their stadium is smaller than the Swamp? Who cares? play on a neutral site. Play at the Gator Bowl or in Miami or something and give UF the bigger take. They really are afraid that UCF will beat them, here, there, anywhere. UF can eat shite.

For the same reasons LSU and Texas couldn't agree to terms with their little brother schools: ego, pride, and money. Tulane wanted 1 and 1 in the dome, LSU said no. LSU countered, I think with 3 and 1, and Tulane of course shot that down.

Well, I also didn't put UNC(not that it matters). When we scheduled most of those teams they were top 25. You never know what can happen.

More importantly, there are about 2-3 teams UCF can beat in a year that will make a real difference. Whether we like it or not, we are committed to our conference schedule and aren't going to get 5 top 25 programs a year. If UCF beat Bama or Clemson this year, it would have made a difference(maybe). Beating UF this year would have given them 4 losses and pushed them out of the top 25. UCF still would have ended up 8th.

It isn't a system that benefits UCF in our current conference. Certain conferences have lucrative financial deals with the CFP. The Pac12 and Big10 will each get 57 million from the CFP without having a team in the make believe playoffs.

UCF has to scrap and fight for any kind of respect(so people that say we will take the bowl game more serious are right). There are a lot of perceptions about who UCF is and who they play that aren't fair, but that is the current landscape of college football. UF can eat a swamp dick.

If UCF wants to advance to big-boy status turning down offers like the one Florida gave you is stupid. An in-state SEC power offered your school THREE chances to advance the image of your program, one of them at your crap stadium, and your school turned it down. THREE chances to impress in-state recruits that your school is the best football program in the state of Florida and your school threw it away. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
