And your complaint if it were the other way would be “Yea he took responsibility, but then proceeded to shite on the players.”

This can’t really be your argument. Your beef is about WHEN he said it in addressing the issues?

Another one just trying to twist shite in your head to support your point of view.

We heard this for YEARS at ND. When he says "I was a bad hire" and quits with no buyout THAT'S when he'll REALLY be taking responsibility.

Because most after-game Scoreboard posters are stupid, can’t read, and come here in droves to post idiotic drivel driven by out of control emotion; the unfamiliar usernames that you never see making substantive posts on the rant.

“Their QB outplayed ours”
Factually incorrect. The coaching staff neutered our QB by killing Drive after drive running the ball

“This is the first time I’ve been this angry at my team”
Why? Every year opening game is the same story. He does a shite job preparing them.

He threw the team under the bus

You are posting in other threads that you are still a big Brian Kelly supporter. Seems like you are somebody who is too dumb to walk back a dumb take. Brian Kelly is who he’s always been. A coach with a good ceiling not a great one. Nobody should take your input serious in regards to this topic.

Did he call himself or his coaches out about poor play calling? Poor decision making?

I don’t think he specifically called coaches out, but I took his stance on lack of killer instinct, and not putting them away as his way of taking partial responsibility for that. I thought him mentioning specifically, the sideline was him talking about the coaching decisions.

The answer to your question is complicated... I never saw large numbers of the public do this until a certain president was elected. Now, reality is arguable. Truth is unknown. What is truth? What is reality? What's really happening? All these questions used to always be known by the general public until someone was elected. Elections have consequences. Sorry to get political but it's the honest answer. Society is now different... Cue the downvotes...

Because he's going through a list of what went wrong during the game. Sheesh

He was aggressive going for the TD instead of 3.

just find it odd that I keep seeing him get shite on for "not taking responsibility for anything" when that's literally all he did in his presser.

You gotta think a lot of the people who comment on those posts/videos are pretty dumb.

Read the quotes from the presser the OP posted, shithead. Are you denying Kelly said them? That’s the issue here. And no, CBK isn’t going anywhere. So sounds like you’re the one with the dumb takes and fit my description of an after-game Score Board poster.

You imbeciles are the reason Chicken (wisely) uses this board for pregame, game, and postgame—to filter out the dumb takes driven by emotion that would clutter up the rant with spam since most of these posters disappear anyway until the next game thread.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that sees the mental gymnastics that some of these guys perform in their own heads to validate themselves.

Team played well tonight. I will not be surprised to see both LSU and USC in the playoffs.

If you aren’t thrilled with the defensive performance tonight, you can’t be happy

Wrong. No team disipline on LSU side of the ball. It's a job. Saban saw handwriting on the wall with each generation being less disciplined.

It's not just stupidity. It's dishonesty. I saw the posts on this board about the presser before watching it. According to some people here, he totally threw all the players under the bus and blamed everyone but himself.

The actual presser was the exact opposite. He kept coming back to taking responsibility. The only players he singled out were the guys committing penalties, esp the 2 personal fouls, and some comments about how Nuss could have been a bit better. Both comments are true.

Then, when that was pointed out on this thread, people came back and said him saying it in a press conference means nothing.

There is no way everyone is that dumb. These people have been on the fire BK train from the beginning and will say anything to push their agenda.

The funny thing is: most of them probably wanted LSU to hire Napier 3 years ago.

It’s some sort of weird coping mechanism. Like they just can’t accept the outcome of the game and have to manufacture these strawman arguments to direct their rage towards.

“That’s not a cure all”

“That’s not what he meant”

“Yea but he said it at the end of his sentence”

Where does it stop? Or does it?

All of that "its on me" words are at the end of his statement. IMHO those words are there because of the media, so it can't be said he did not take responsibility. In at least one of the comments, he rants and then when he gets to it's on me, he demeanor changes, like he had a thought, I have to say this....
